“A great Botique Hotel!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

I visited in January 2012. I read great reviews about the establishment on Trip Advisor. I was perfectly happy with the choice I made. The complimentary transfer in a very comfortable vehicle was great. I arrived at the hotel early (about 9 am) and was allowed to check in at approximately 12pm when a room became available. Included in the price are 3 meals per day and the contents of the mini bar. This results in huge savings as you do not have to eat and drink anywhere else. The hotel is situated in a quiet neighbourhood close enough to walk to Orchard road. The decor is very modern. Downside is rooms are smaller than hotels I normally visit. There is no couch for relaxation inside room and not much of a sitting/relaxation area at for example the lobby. There were 2 very uncomfortable chairs at the lobby. The most dissapointing thing to me is that 15 days after having left the hotel my security/incidents funds have still not been released by the hotel and there banking partner. I have sent numerous requests for the funds to be released. At the time of writing this, the funds had still not been released.

Hi Dezign99,

I would like to thank you for taking time to read through our Tripadvisor site and for eventually choosing to stay with us. I am pleased that your stay was generally satisfactory.

However, I am sorry that there has been a delay with the release of the pre-authorization taken from your credit card. The request was sent to the bank on the day of your departure but unfortunately, what transpires thereafter between our bank and your issuing bank is beyond our control. I really do hope for your understanding and trust that by now that amount has been unblocked from your account.

Please drop me an email at kristinerefuerzo@quincy.com.sg if you need further assistance.

“Funky, friendly and fun.”

Funky, small and fun. Just what I wanted. Didn't realise the hill back from shopping was going to be so big on the way back from a long day on Orchard Road - but manageable! Breakfast was good, chef happy to prepare eggs however you wanted and staff more than obliging. Meals at night were large and very tasty. Never ate lunch there as always out. Weekend activities are definitely worth trying. Staff great to talk to for "local advice". Overall very enjoyable.

“Wonderful Hotel!”

The staff were so friendly and helpful at this hotel, with a special mention to the restaurant staff who were very polite and always had a kind word and smile for my daughter. The room was clean and comfortable. All meals were included in the price, making this an incredibly reasonable hotel to stay at.

“Think Different”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012

If you could take the Apple Store and turn it into a hotel then the Quincy would fit the bill. The concept is disarmingly simple; include everything in the price that other hotels charge through the nose for, design the rooms to be elegant and simple, treat the guests as part of the family and then let them relax.

We really enjoyed our stay here; our room was on the 8th floor and the RFID 'key' means it is easy to open the door. We arrived into Singapore early (around 07.00), were picked up by a driver and his Mercedes and whisked off to the hotel. A small niggle is that check-in isn't until 14.00 so we had to twiddle our thumbs for a while. Nonetheless the staff couldn't have been more helpful, suggesting we could freshen up on the 12th floor, where the pool, gym and sauna/steam rooms were.

The showers are beautiful; they're walk in rain showers and there were plenty of towels to grab if we needed them. The pool is beautifully appointed although there are only three sun loungers so it's first come first served.

Our room was perfect for us; Moulton Brown products, accessories such as hair dryer/iron etc were thoughtfully arranged all in one place so you don't have to 'hunt them down' and there was a large bath as well as a huge rain-shower. The mini-bar is stocked with water, soft drinks and a couple of cans of beer and you are invited to help yourself. There are facilities to make a cup of tea though there is no milk.

Each room can choose to have 2 items dry-cleaned or laundered by the hotel. My wife was sceptical but I dropped off a pair of trousers and a linen shirt at the front-desk at 09.00 and they were ready and brought to our room around 18.00 that same day. They looked as if I had just bought them!

Happy Hour is from 18.00 to 20.00 and the service we got was first class; our glasses were never empty and the bar man was excellent at keeping his eye on things and coming up to the guests for a chat.

Dinner was good but a bit 'hit and miss'; the menu is a limited one (although it is 'a la carte' and not a dreadful choice of help yourself bain-maries); we would have enjoyed more Singapore dishes but again this is a slight niggle and didn't detract from the experience.

Breakfast was excellent although most of the guests seem to twig that much of Singapore doesn't open until 10.00 so they tend to have a late breakfast, which means most people arriving at the same time with a limited number of tables. Even so, we only had a 5 minute wait for a table.

To get to Orchard Road is incredibly easy and is a gentle stroll from the hotel. Once we were bored with the 'mall' concept, we took a taxi to Arab St and had a Moroccan peppermint tea at one of the cafes and then caught a bus to China Town for a late lunch.

We both really liked this hotel; the experience has been carefully thought out to make it an elegant yet simple one to enjoy and agreed that we would certainly stay there next time we visit Singapore and I liked the fact that all ages seemed to feel equally comfortable.

Hi L0bbster,

Wow… Many thanks for such a very comprehensive and excellent review!

There really is nothing more heartwarming than to see our guests having a Qool experience and writing about it! It has always been our aim to make Quincy home away from home for our guests.

When you’re back in Singapore and want a relaxing and comfortable stay, you know where to go… :-)

“Very stylish modern and efficient”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

This fairly new set up hotel just of the Orchard Road on the hill, is a nice place to stay. THe nearly 'all inclusive' concept appeals a lot. There is a free minibar and free set diners included in the rack rate, as well as limousine service from the airport. However after 1 years in business the hotel has put up the rates considerably.
Also be prepared to receive challenging welcome cards from the staff ( organized) like 'where have you been so long, we haven't seen you for a while'. 'We hope you are doing fine and come stay with us soon again".

Room Tip: All rooms are equal, there are no interconnecting rooms.
