“Paradise in Palawan”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 January 2012

Outstanding all inclusive vacay spot. If you want to have some relaxation and far from civilization, this is the ideal location for you. No need to worry about meals and attractions. Though, there are no tv in the villa still worth getting disconnected from the world. Staff are extremely courteous and ready to give a big smile and help. I recommend a three day and two night stay- they offer lunch in an island that is breath-taking and worth every Kodak moment. They offer guided snorkeling and Manny was very helpful to the beginners and the non-swimmers. Josh our guest relation officer was helpful and provides value and some trivia. Worth the car ride, plane and boat ride. Looking forward to my next visit.

“Sorta Kinda Okay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 January 2012

The staff was friendly. Everywhere you go within the resort, they will greet you. We stayed there last December for three days and two nights. As friendly as the staff are in the resort, our Guest Relations Officer was of no use. She only offered us options that would suit THEIR schedule and didn't even bother to make a schedule for our group of thirteen.

The rooms are kind of old, but they are renovating some rooms. What I hated most about this trip was taking a bath. After a long day out in the beach, or in the pool (where the water's salty as well), you just want to take a bath in fresh and clean water. In the three days that I was in Dos Palmas, I did not feel clean AT ALL. The bath water was almost the same as the sea water, and worst of all, even the faucet water was salt water! I had to brush my teeth with the bottled water they gave us every day.

Food is so-so but you don't really have a choice since you're in an island. The diving staff are very nice and helpful, you should try intro diving. The staff in the spa, well, they're nice but you have to book early because they only have 10 or less people there for an island that can have about 100 guests.

“Rest and Relaxation”

Service: They have the best staff. We were well taken care off.

Value: It is expensive but it was all worth it. :)

Room: They have very comfortable and cozy rooms. Nice beds and soft pillows. The room we have was very spacious. It was clean. However, there was no TV but you won't get bored because of the unlimited water sports, they also have billiards, table tennis and the SPA (amazing HILOT massage!)!!

Location: The only downside to Dos Palmas is the location. If you want to explore Puerto Princesa then this is not the hotel for you.

“sun, fun and food at Dos Palmas”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 November 2011

We stayed at Dos Palmas last Oct 31 to Nov 2. We got their 3 days - 2 nights package which was about 8,000 per adult person/night and the package was not really expensive because everything was in. It included free scuba lessons for two, snorkeling with a guide, full board meals, body massage and many others. I couldn't forget the superb service that they gave us. My family (we have 2 kids) decided to go snorkeling at 3 pm, and they brought us to the area on a speed boat (thanks to Butch who was our very acommodating and very abled snorkeling guide and scuba teacher). The package included a buffet lunch on an island called isla puting buhangin and we were awed by the scenery. It was a small private island with a very long sand bar. The food was cooked (grilled) on the very island and we were served by waiters in uniform. We ate to our hearts desire the the grilled lunch and had fun swimming after. Buffet meals served at the main restaurant and lanai of dos palmas were enjoyable as well. Who would forget the eat-all-you can crabs and other sea foods for dinner? The beach cottage that we were in (they're renovating their bay cottages and their big pool) was nice and very spacious. There was no TV in the room(if you wanted to watch a movie, they had a place in the far end of the restaurant for that) which was good because we wanted a very relaxing vacation. Dos Palmas is about good food, good service and a fun filled experience.

“Not enough value for the money on a day trip”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 November 2011

On a recent trip to Puerto Princesa in October, we decided to visit Dos Palmas on a day use. For 2,500 PHP which is about $60 each person, the day use included a welcome juice drink, the use of the kayaks, boat to take you a quarter mile from shore to snorkle and lunch. The 10 cottoges were closed for demolishing as they were in bad shape so we didn't get to tour them. As for the main swimming pool, it had been closed for renovation since the begining of the year. The lockers and showers for day use were in deplorable condition. The only thing that was okay was lunch and the staff. After the lunch, we found the spa area and saw there was another pool which the welcome receptionist didn't bother to mention. I think management of the property are dilutional to think they can charge $60 per person when the facility wasn't up to par. If the facility is at 60% of their standard, then they should only charge at 60% as well. Think twice before deciding if this is worth your money.
