This is in Sabang. It's a very very beautiful resort/hotel, done in Andalucian style.
Swimming pool is only 8 metres, but good for a dip and also very pretty. Lots of flowers. The hotel is elevated, so there is a view of the bay.
Rooms are basic but ok. Food is fine.
Sabang is great for diving, has some good restaurants. Night life consists of girlie bars - which was a surprise.

Stayed a few days with Steps and Garden after arriving to find my reservation at another resort had been lost and that there had been a price rise in the interim! It was reccomended by a fellow traveller and after a strange route to find the resort found it well worth it for the sea views, terraces and verandahs. Good accommodation, clean and very comfortable. Staff very helpful and friendly, especially Lhiza on reception always smiling and very helpful when I had to arrange travel onwards. Good value and suitable for families and singles alike as you pay for the room no supplements.

We spent two nights in Step and Garden hotel during July. the room is packed but clean and OK for taking a rest or stopover. Hotel staff are quite nice. The room has a great sea view since the hotel is on the middle of a small hill. The steps are just like endless. It literally kills me but suitable for ppl fit. Expect less and then enjoy more.

In the context of local standards i scored this above average. I checked out the budget rooms but passed and would not recommend them but instead I stayed in a Superior room. The room was not plush by any stretch and compact but it scores well on value if you want an ocean view and to be in the bustle of Sabang without the noise. Although a bit tired the rooms are fine and the bathrooms could do with an update. Clean with pleasant and helpful staff. Food options good. In the evenings enjoyed a quiet drink and the view from the front veranda.
