I wanted to use only two words: faulty plumbing!
Shower doesn't work, toilet doesn't flush.
Result: Smelly room.
Waiting time for service is about 30 minutes to over an hour. Then they'd just tell you the water pressure is not enough or the water simply won't go down the toilet, which of course you already knew. Then you'd never see them again.
The hotel is not even beach front. Just a few steps away from the beach but you'll have to navigate through vendors: masseuse and tour brokers. Beware of those, particularly of the man named Hugo. Their tours have hidden charges. Upfront they say the tour is worth 2,000 including a trip to the giant clams, fish feeding and snorkeling with the equipment. THey'd then bring you to an deserted cove, a few miles away from the shore and smaller boats offer the same tour for additional 400 per head. They'll offer you to buy the ingredients for lunch, and the boatmen from the first boat offers to prepare it for you, then charge you 300 for the use of the hut in the sandbar.
Overall, the impression I got is an island of opportunists. Stay away from this hotel and from that man, Hugo.
