My Jakarta office booked 3 of us into this hotel for an overnight stay. Our office had paid the rooms in full 4 days prior to our arrival. However, upon checking-in, we were told that only 1 room was paid for. When we checked-out on the second morning, we were told none of the room was paid. The front desk thus requested for our credit cards for payment. 3 front desk ladies were unable to locate the payment receipt for bank transfer. After much hassle of trying to contact the person-in-charge for reservation, they finally confirmed that all rooms were paid in full. That tooks us about 15-20 minutes for check-out and we were late for our presentation. That was an annoying customer experience!
Apart from the questionable service efficiency, the room was okay though was a rather dated. The seat cover for the toilet was disgusting as one could see the stains clearly in the uploaded photo. It should be replaced immediately as that seem to look like used in public toilet. My room no. 431 had a city view though nothing was too fantastic about it. There was a sofa chair that could sleep another person. The room had poor sound-proof quality as I could hear what my neighbours were doing in the evening and early morning. The room and corridor somehow exuded the smell of cigarette smoke.
Breakfast spread was good. Both international and local Indonesian food variety were widely available and replenished regularly.
Overall, the hotel facility was average and acceptable for a short business trip.

well this place was very nice staff was so nice to me and my wife the room was the same as photo online the view was of the pool area that was good for us there was a lounge area for member/rooms in the exec bookings we used it we had brekie there and free snacks til 9pm gym was free and easy to get taxie there and thay have there car service so its all depends on what you need we did pay direct to hotel idr 1.000.000 this was the xmas holiday time and the room was one of the best that thay have

Arrived at the hotel from the airport in about 20 minutes. Surrounding are small shops and few minimarkets, as well as banking facilities (ATM) which made my stay easy.
Entering the hotel my luggage was kept by the porter and I was sent one floor up by escalator into a grand lobby with high ceiling, overlooking the main restaurant in the mezzanine floor towards the swimming pool and landscaped garden.
The room was convenient and spacious enough, laundry service for pressing and room service was effective. The food was good and tasty.
Just one thing confused me, that was the condition of the coating of the bathtub, whilst bathroom and guestroom were overall clean.

The breakfast was all you need for a good start of the day, with choices for each and every taste. I took the western section on the first day, with a little Asian mix. On the second day I needed to try the wide selection of typical Javanese local delights and I was overwhelmed.

Yes, and in front of the hotel there was a station of the famous Bluebird Taxi (metered).

Overall, I had a very pleasant and convenient stay. And even went for shopping to a huge mall just about 10 minutes by taxi on the final night.

I stayed in Hotel Santika Jakarta from 1 to 3 nov 2011. I was there on business alone. The location is good as I got to the hotel from the airport in a relatively short time without having caught in the notorious Jakarta traffic jam. The hotel looks warm and welcoming from the outside when I arrived. The staffs were polite. I stayed on the premium floor and the room was very basic and clean, but the toilet needs an urgent upgrading. There was also no kettle for boiling hot water. I went to the gym to do my regular running on the tread mill and realised that the equipments are all very old. The tread mill really needed a change because it could only achieve a max speed of only 6.8 to 7 miles per hour and could go any higher. I run at around 8 miles per hour regularly in any gym , so it was disappointing.
Other than these , the hotel is fine with acceptable service, friendly and polite staffs and generally clean although the food is only average. For the type of money i paid, I thought it was value for money if you get what I mean.
