“great overnight airport hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

We had a 9 hour overnight stop over in Hong Kong before flying out early morning, we chose this hotel as it was easy to get to for this purpose. We caught the MTR from the airport to Tsing Yi, its cheaper to buy 2 x one way tickets for HK$90 than 2 seperate returns so we did this. The journey took 20 minutes to Tsing Yi we then caught a taxi the five minute journey to the hotel. HK$23. The hotel is big, efficient and perfect for an overnight before going back to the airport, it had everything we needed so we didn;t have to unpack our bags, toothpaste, flannel, toothbrush, comb etc. Room was big, sheets were clean the view over the port was fascinating, we watched the cranes lifting and moving the containers from our 29th floor room for ages! There is a 7/11 convenience store within 2 minute walk in case you arrive late at night, we got pot noodles and used the kettle in our room to cook them. Only downside was the room was a little cold but the duvet was snug and we could have turned on the portable heater had it been that much of a problem

“Good for a short stay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2012

Stayed at this hotel since there was some sort of convention and most hotels in Kowloon/Hong Kong Island were at ridiculous prices. As I had a late arrival/early departure from the airport, I thought this would be a good option.

It was very reasonably priced and location really wasn't too out of the way, about a 5-10 minute taxi ride from the Tsing Yi MTR station. From there its about a 15 minute ride down to Hong Kong Island, quite convenient actually.

The hotel room itself is bare bones, everything is clean but the room definitely looks a bit bare. Also, there was no internet access available in my room, not even paid access. If you wanted to go online, you had to go down to the lobby and there really isn't any spot where you can sit and do work. Views of the harbor from the rooms was amazing !!

The hotel manager was awesome, she was quite busy tending to a promotional photoshoot but noticed we were waiting for the free shuttle bus to Tsing Yi station. As the shuttle had broken down, she quickly got a taxi for us and paid the bill. Very quick and proactive on her part.

All in all this is not a bad choice for a quick stay in HK, or if you get an exceptionally good rate. Otherwise, you're better off choosing something more central or with more amenities.

“NASTY TREATMENT IN HOTEL”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 November 2011

Our first encounter was on 4th November 2011, when we reached the hotel at around 3.30pm for our check-in, we were told that the rooms are not ready please wait. There is a bench infront of the reception counter and the lobby with chairs were cordoned off and no resting place for us a group of 30paxs with children who were tired after the early arrival and city tour. We waited patiently and was shocked when the bell-boy came to tell off some of the kids who were sitting on the floor and the manager gave us a nasty look as if we were some alients. In the end, our last batch to check-in was almost 5pm. Bad service on first day was our verdict.
Room service was also bad. We had 2 satchet of coffee and 2 tea for the whole of 4 days there with no top-up even though we used 1 of each on 1st and 2nd day and no coffees and teas for the next two days. Face towels was missing after the cleanup on 1st day and there is none for the whole 3 days after the check-out.
Last day was worst which was 7th November 2011 and we had an early check out at 10am and left our bags with the reception and proceed with our last minute shoppings and was back at around 4.30pm before the scheduled pick up time of 5.20pm. We proceed to the reception to collect our bags and thought of packing our last minute catch into our luggage ready for departure. After a long and tiring shopping spree, we thought we can sit around the lobby to do our packing, our kids were again told off by the bell boy to stand up and not to sit at the corner of the lobby. We were quite pissed off as all seats were empty and still being cordoned off and they just refused to let us use them. We were told to go to our pick up bus without even the help of the staff of the hotel to bring our luggage to the bus and worst off we had to put our luggage ourselves into the luggage compartment and worst of the manager can have the cheek to come forward and tell us to give way to taxis coming and not to block the road. This is the worst hotel we had tried in Hong Kong so far....

“pleasant stay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 November 2011

we stayed there for 2 nights during our recent visit to hong kong..expensive for the facilities they provide. we were upgraded to deluxe room which was quite spacious with bath tub. but we had another room which was standard i suppose ..quite small room...they have regular bus services from the hotel to main city n near by local attractions which is really good...room service was ok. view outside the room was not worth looking at...best part was it had a departmental store within the complex which was gr8!

“Helpful staff, clean and nice room”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 October 2011

I stayed here with my husband and daughter (4 years old) for 3 nights from 17/10/2011 to 20/10/2011. We choosed to stay in Tsing Yi because we planned to visit Disneyland and Lantau Island the first few days during our stay in Hong Kong.

We arrived late in the evening. We took a taxi (RED or GREEN taxis only) from the airport to the hotel and costed us around HKD220, which is cheaper and easier if we were to take the Espress MTR and then hire and taxi or bus from the MTR station to the hotel.

We booked a superior room but the staff upgraded us to a Deluxe room with no extra charges. The room is clean, nice, with complete amenities, the view from the windows is superb too.

The hotel provides free daily shuttle to the MTR station, which is connected to the Tsing Yi shopping mall. There is a mini mart and a Seven-Eleven underground, where we buy our cup noodle for supper every night ---> 'la mien' cup noodle is delicious! If you wanna get mineral water, get them from the mini mart, selling at HKD7 for 2 big bottles, while you get it for HKD10 for only 1 bottle from any other places. F&B is very limited around the hotel, so it is advisable to have your meal every time you return to the hotel.

Overall this is a good hotel, we will recommend this hotel to our friends and will definitely stay in this hotel again next time we visit Hong Kong.

Pros: Nice & clean room, helpful & friendly staff, cheap, near to Disneyland and Lantau Island.

Cons: Limited food choices, lift is slow, full of (rude) guests from China.

Room Tip: Stay at higher hotel room, more quiet and easy to get lift when you come down to the lobby.
