“Great location if you plan to go to Disneyland.”

They upgraded my room to park view room. You could see the fireworks every night from the room. Had breakfast at Enchanted Garden. Food was great. Get to see the characters. Dinner at chef Mickey was ok. Not as much variety than the Enchanted Garden. But food was ok. The staffs were very friendly & helpful. Overall happy with our stay especially our daughter. She didnt want to leave. Anyway, keep up the good job!

“Appalling - like being in 1800's”

Hotel is in poor state of maintenance, very tired looking, and the concept of art deco is not good when done very cheaply. Supposed to be a 4/5 star hotel and have stayed in better motels.
Rooms are very basic, virtually no amenities ( & the Mickey Mouse shampoo is of such poor quality came out in a rash 30 mins after shower!!!!!!!)
Food quality was also bad, the breakfast was lots of choice and all poor quality.
No WIFI in rooms and minimal wall insulation ( was a joy to hear my screaming neighbours at 6am) & staff are very young ( & cheap of course) inexperienced & poorly presented
5 star price, motel quality and very busy with lots of children
OH and no room service
NEVER AGAIN !!

“Hotel is great - guests aren't.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 February 2012

This hotel has a great vibe and high service standards we have come to expect from Disney Resorts. It is the more affordable of the two hotels at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, which attracts a different kind of clientele - those wanting a five star family holiday at a budget price. Lots of visitors from Mainland China, and India. Many people seemed to have booked the hotel in extended family or tour groups.
There is some complaining on here about the price, but seriously, how many hotels let you have 4 people to one bedroom? Of course the room is going to feel small if you have four people in it, even if they are kids. Admittedly the rooms are not huge, but no where does the hotel tout itself as having luxurious rooms. It is basically there to give families a fun and affordable option to experience Disney Resorts. If you want all the bells and whistles, you must pay for them at the Disneyland Resort Hotel. But don't pay substantially less at Hollywood and complain about it.

All the food I had at Chef Mickey (the buffet restaurant) was delicious and great quality. Staff were wonderful and accommodating as Disney staff always are. I loved the decor and ambience of this hotel - really fun, great swing music in the hallways, great use of lighting and art deco furnishings. It is more casual and relaxed than the Disneyland Hotel.
I stayed during winter, but it would be fabulous in summer I imagine, with the awesome piano shaped pool, and huge garden & restaurant area by the pool.
My only complaint was that the amount of large families made for noisy hallways, which disrupted my sleep a little, but on the whole, I was satisfied. I paid about $200 a night for one person and thought it was good value; between a family of four for one room (which many customers do), it is only $50 per person per night. Excellent value, if a bit squishy. If you think you might be too snug, the solution is simple: open your wallet and spring for another room, like you would probably have to do at another hotel anyhow. I just think this hotel has been bagged unfairly due to unrealistic expectations of pax.

Room Tip: Choose a park view room - you can see some of the new Toy Story Land rides operate =D

“I expected more from this hotel....”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

At p10500 per night for the parkview, i was expecting a superb hotel. This one is modern but too plain for a fantasy world. It had a couple of mickey mouse design in the lifts, windows, etc but for me, it really didnt have the "wow" factor that my husband i were looking for. It woud be better if there was a welcome activity for kids to make their stay a memorable one. My 2.7 year old daughter was even confirming with us if we are already at 'mickey's hotel' so i guess we had the same feeling.

As an adult, It makes me happy to find high end toiletries (loccitane, roger and gallet nor crabtree) in the bathroom considering the cost of the room but this hotel just had a generic shampoo, bath Gel and worst toothpaste!

The difference in price between this and disney hotel was p2000 but upon our entry to the latter, i immediately realized that i saved for the wrong reason. The lobby was victorian, the set up was grand and to top it all of, we found cinderella and snow white at the lobby. We transferred to this hotel for the breakfast at the enchanted restaurant( where mickey, daisy and the rest of the gang were) and we really had

Room Tip: 9f Park view - perfect for the 20minute fireworks. (additional us20 more or less)

“Small rooms”

We stayed here with 3 young children, and although they were all below the age of 6 (with the youngest being only 2), we were made to book 2 rooms even though we all slept in the one room. This made it quite expensive.
