“Great service, spacious rooms”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

We, my parents and I, were originally going to pay extra to add a bed to a double room but was recommended to upgrade to a suite, similar price, which included a very spacious suite and breakfast vouchers for three each night we stayed. The room was very spacious and was a perfect fit for our needs. There is no central heating though so we were offered a heater for use during out stay. The hotel is a 10-15min walk to Times Square which is also the closest MTR station. It's a little off the main street but it's nice to be away from the hustle and bustle. There are shuttle buses that take you to and from several common locations (Times Square, Airport station @ Central, etc) but check the schedule, they leave every 20mins to 1hr depending on the route. Overall service was fantastic, breakfast was a breadth of choices between Continental style as well as Chinese dim sum. Overall, we were very satisfied.

“It's a good memory for my first Hongkong travel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

The hotel is not far away from the subway but we made a mistake and got off one station ahead of TONGLUOWAN station.
So it took extra one hour to find it. It's easy to get in the hotel by walk if we come from Tongluowan station.
I like the outside of the hotel especially in night.
what's more,The guide of hotel bus was so kind.
Personally, I like this hotel.
Hope I can go to there next time soonif the room fee will be 20% cheaper.

“Good service but smell smoky”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

I was asked whether I need a no smoking room. I said yes. The room was on the 6th floor marked "No smoking floor" . Surprisingly, I found the washroom smells smoky. The toilet has a serious stink of cigerette. I stayed for three nights and the smell lasted. The service is good except that on the third night I found the room keeper didn't bring any toothpaste. I called the operator twice to get the toothpaste...

Thank you for your comment. Cosmopolitan offers 14 non-smoking floors with firmly strict penalty policy if smoking vestige has been found.
I however would like to tribute my sincere apology that you had unfortunately found the unusual smoky smell as well as the stink of cigarettes in your guest room. though we believe it might be an innocent mistake by Housekeeping Department, we do encourage our guests to approach our Guest Services Manager which is available 24 hours so we could act for immediate adjustment. we have also organized orientation to all housekeeping staff to ensure the quality of guest room are hosted in standard. In addition, may I also introduce you another sister boutique hotel – Cosmo Hotel Hong Kong which is 100% in door smoke free located right next to Cosmopolitan. i am looking forward to your soonest return and provide you an unforgettable accommodation experiences. Thank you

“Great Hotel with Wonderful Staffs and Services.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012

Spent 3 weeks in this hotel and fully enjoy the stay, and the hospitality of all the staffs and management.

The location is right in the middle of HK., but 15 minutes walk from the hustle bustle of packed and noisy Causeway Bay, which serves as a barrier. The free shuttle service is frequent and convenience to the subway. From subway to hotel, or for that matter, from anywhere along the tram line, regardless of distance, take any tram to “Happy Valley”, which is a loop (do not get off at the happy valley terminal, the next stop is the hotel) and end up right at the front of the hotel. Cost me HK$2.30 or C$0.40. Just remember, on the tram, you get up from the rear and pay when you exit.

The hotel is quite new, rooms are big when compare, no bath tub but shower, fridge, safe, coffee/tea in room, we found the floor below 20th, (the hotel is 26th floor high) facing the hill, all windows are sand out, you can’t see outside, because of the cemetery on the hill side, which can be annoying, as I love to look out to see what to dress each day. You can’t even open the window. The side facing the race track or the main road is ok.

The service, I have to give them full credit. From management, bellboy, security, cleaning lady, everyone will bend backward to help you…at the lobby; they literally ran to you to offer help should they detect it. Excellent service overall. In particular, guest service manager, Agnes Yau is such an angel; she is smart, caring, sincere and really takes it upon herself to help guests. To that we can’t thank her enough for all her assistance, both regarding our stay in the hotel, and our other plans in Hong Kong and Taiwan that needs information..

They have a little gym on the 2nd floor so you can burn off the excess energy and good food at the end of the day. The restaurant on the 1st floor is nice, quiet and have a good view of the road. Prices look reasonable, but we never got a chance to try it.

During the 3 weeks stay, we can pretty much say we know the hotel well, only inconvenient I would say is the internet service, even though they provide free wi-fi at the lobby, but they charge you for using the service in room by hour. For me, just to check emails, and use it couple of minutes a day, it’s kind of annoying to go down to lobby everyday, when guests like me are taking up all the available seats … but well, could prevent it if I spend a few more dollars, or do it like the young kids, have their iphones anywhere.…..

Again, nice hotel to stay, would definitely recommend it. I would like to send a special thanks to Guest Service Manager Agnes Yau for making our stay a memorable one.

Room Tip: . They charge more for rooms facing the main road, . if you are budget minded, request rooms above...

Thank you for your comment to our facilities and services, your simple words is our big support and energy source to do better and better. I appreciate your detail-introduction of the hotel location and transportation route, to elaborate your description, Cosmopolitan Hotel locates on the interaction of Causeway Bay and Wan Chai, it is certainly a great location for guest return for a good rest and enjoy a piece of quiet after a long day tour in the center of the town. our complimentary shuttle bus contains 5 routes to 15 hot spots in Hong Kong. From Causeway bay, Wan Chai, Admiralty to Central with fixed schedule for our guests.

With international travelers in mind, Cosmopolitan provides 8 different room types to meet guests’ needs. Aside from the cozy Standard Room with both clear view and fashionable frosted window, other popular room types such as Family Quad Room which can accommodate up to 4 guests at the same time, Deluxe Course View Room offers magnificent skyline with greenery happy valley view and the Executive Suite divided into a living room, pantry area and master room. I am more than delighted to share that the bath tub is not only available in selected room types, that the hotel will also have renovation plan for bathroom in 2012 to provide better accommodation for our guests.

Regarding your comment to hotel internet services, as per mentioned by your description, a free WiFi service is available throughout hotel public area including lobby, lobby bar and restaurant. Though the in room internet is priced in line with Hong Kong hotel standard charges, we do provided exceeded 50 mbp ultra high speed internet services which is 7.6 times faster compare to general city hotels in town, furthermore, the hotel also provide 100 percent money back guarantee to ensure our quality commitment.
