Though we too arrived just before CNY, and suffered the inconvenience of streets closed, taxis diverted, etc, this magnificent hotel more than compensated. It is worth staying there for that wonderful view across the harbour, whether from your room, the bar/lounge, or that superb buffet restaurant. I was coming back to HK after a fifteen-year gap, and it was a pleasure to see that standards of service are still just as good - maybe even better? My wife, on her first visit, was most impressed and approved my choice!

I have just finished spending 4 nights in this hotel. We had a room overlooking the harbour and it is great to just sit and look out at the view when the hussle and bussle of Hong Kong gets too much.

The hotel is an easy walk to everything and I would recomend it to everyone. It is expensive but the view is great. I am not sure that I would be as happy if we had a city view room.

If you do not stay here then you can always have a coffee or a meal in one of the resturants so you can enjoy the view.

I went to HK for pleasure, after a business trip in Tokyo. So it was my first time there and first of all, HK is awesome!

I stayed a couple nights at the Intercon and then a couple more nights at the W. One thing no one can question is the Intercon delivers that incredible view of the Harbor and skyline --visible as soon as you walk into the main lobby. I am sure its a great spot to see the light show, however, we had planned ahead of time to do that from the top of the Peninsula, which was a great experience.

The rooms were very well kept, with nice bathrooms. Of course, the room we were in was not very big, but we expected that given we were in HK!

As far as food --we ate at Nobu the first night, which was very good but of course quite expensive. We ended up have some of the most amazing dishes off street carts and smaller vendors that made me not miss Nobu for a second (although still, you have to go to this place at least once)!

We stayed at the InterContinental on our recent trip to Hong Kong. We had let them know in advance that we were celebrating my birthday on this trip. Shortly after arriving into our room, there was a knock on the door and they had sent up a cake and a card wishing me a Happy Birthday.
