My girlfriend and I stayed here for 7 nights. We got some very good rates because we booked through China Travel Service in Hong Kong but that's where the good part ends. The service staff, especially the front desk speak almost no English at all, and in typical Chinese style there is only one person that can make decisions and that person can never be found. Give yourself lots of time checking in and out. Like most hotels in China they charge for internet and this place tries to skin you at 85 RMB for 24 hours. Our room's air conditioning didn't work and it got quite stuffy. If you are willing to pay a few more dollars, we dined at the Intercontinental which is a much better run hotel and is western friendly.

My wife and I had an overnight stay before boarding Yangtzee River Cruise ship. Hotel is smack in the middle of town and has most of the facilities you'd excpect from 4* although rooms were somewhat plain. Biggest problem is building noise from adajacent sites - Pile drivers and heavy plant makes it feel like your in middle of war zone - and noise can go on late into night - it stopped around 21:00 when were there but we were told that it can go on all night. Our advise to friends would be if you have booked and can't/don't want to cancel booking then make sure you insist on quietest room possible when checking in. If you haven't booked yet - don't.
