“Good hotel for price”

Rooms were spacious, good clean bathrooms. Staff were helpful. We had breakfast included in our rate and it was good by chinese standards. We only had dinner in hotel on one night (we had just had 15 hours of travel) and it was adequate self service with reasonable selection.

We found the restaurants in the area, frequented by the locals, were good - food was cheap and very tasty with excellent service.

Easy walk to underground station.

“Good hotel with spacious rooms”

I was here with a group tour with a package price, so i don't know the price of my room. But travelling with Intrepid, it would not have been the expensive one. Very good room though, good size bathroom. Worth more than 3 stars.
Breakfast at 35 yuan, is a big buffet. You have to pay cash though, impossible to charge to your room.
Laundry also has to be paid in cash (after return). And if you need change, they will bring it to you an hour later or so.
There is not much in the neighbourhood, except a convenient store and a subway.

“don't stay in the Hepingli”

I had a terrible experience with this hotel.
The service was bad, the carpet is disgusting, the furniture is old and dilapidated. Prostitutes called on the hotel phone all hours of the night. The refrigerator and safe in the room didn't work. The front desk refused to take valuables for safe keeping when I went out during the day. Don't stay in this hotel.
