I must say that this hotel was excellent and the value was great. We stayed there two nights and used some of the amenities offered and were very delighted with the service. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and would stay there again if in Beijing.

This hotel is relaxing, clean, and well-located. It's in an upscale area, surrounded by designer stores, and literally right across the street from a Starbucks. It's about a twenty minute, easily navigable walk to the Forbidden City. The breakfast buffet has diverse choices and is very good. There are also great dining choices in and around the hotel, a Japanese restaurant being one of the options. The rooms are spacious, well-decorated, and the beds are comfortable. This hotel proved to be a great escape from the hectic streets of Beijing. The hotel also offers affordable Chinese massages, which I recommend taking advantage of after a long day of sightseeing! Perhaps the best aspect of this hotel, however, is the staff. Those working behind the concierge desk have excellent English. If your purpose for visiting Beijing is sight-seeing, then this is a must. The concierge was able to call cabs for us and help us organize our trip to one of the less touristed sections of the Great Wall (even bargaining with the cab driver for us). This hotel is a reliable and trustworthy choice for staying in Beijing.

We enjoyed our stay here - the location was good. Was walkable to forbidden city, albeit a long one but this was preferable to be ripped off by the Beijing taxi drivers, we live in Shanghai and it is very different.
Good staff - on the whole friendly and helpful. Rooms nice and clean.
Breakfast was very busy and we often ended up quite away from the buffet.
Hotel set back from busy streets which is nice - on the whole would recommend for a weekend break to beijing.

We decided to take a 3 day stopover in Beijing on our way home for Xmas (Australia to Ireland) and got a good rate for the Park Plaza for our stay - we were not disappointed. Our flight landed very early in the morning and the hotel checked us in promptly and got us straight up to our room, we even got a spot of breakfast! We took the option to upgrade to the ClubLevel and were not sorry - free wi-fi and access to the Club Lounge. The front desk team were most helpful in recommending tours to the Great Wall and places for dinner. The booked everything for us, and called us to remind us of times for things. The room was lovely - very comfortable, modern and clean. Breakfast was HUGE! Everything you could think of! Very close to the city centre, and if you are up for the wander then you could manage to walk to various attractions in 30-45minutes - remember Beijing is massive! Would gladly stay here again!
