This is a very good property in Nairobi, and a great value for price. The rooms are cute, and well priced. There is a decent swimming pool, and a good lunch place. In addition, the bar is quite good. There are several business travelers here. It is well located near the Pan Afric, and safe, because across from the police.

I stayed here for 7 nights, and was given a room on the east wing. This proved to be a quiet area, colleagues closer to the elevator were a bit disturbed by this (late night arrivals). Good beds, spotless rooms, large bathroom and decent internet made for a pleasant stay. Attentive staff, friendly and safe atmosphere was also appreciated. Breakfast was a treat, and dinners were good. Also tried the bistro one evening, which was also very good. I wouldn't know all that much about prices, but found the gift shop reasonable. Quiet area, too. A nice walk to downtown, but remember a hat and sun screen...

After almost 24 hours traveling and landing in Nairobi, being picked up from the airport and driven straight to the Heron was a treat. Charming interiors, warm and friendly staff and very clean and comfortable rooms.

Guests were a mix of business people and tourists. The restaurant was busy during breakfast and pretty quiet by lunch time. There was also a café with a big, shiny espresso machine (too bad we didn't get a chance to give it a try).

Located in a quiet, tree-lined street, the hotel is about a 20-minute walk to downtown Nairobi.

The Heron is a lovely hotel and the rates are very affordable and its good value for money. the breakfast set up and what you got was disappointing but then there are so many fabulous restaurants in the vicinity that its not a problem. If you are in this area, there is a short cut to The Junction which has some great restaurants and good variety. Internet access was excellent at the hotel which is a plus when you on business. Rooms very clean and had all that you needed. Would certainly stay here again.
