“Top class location!!!”

Close to the train station and the old market. And right next to Luxor temple! Wonderful location, decent rooms, fantastic roof top restaurant, very friendly staff make this a perfect location to stay put in Luxor. The Karnak temple is also just a fair distance from the hotel. Boats to the West bank start opposite to the hotel. We did have minor issues with the room but it was rectified by the prompt staff. Would definitely recommend the place!

“I'm moving here!”

I feel lucky to have stumbled on the Nefertiti for my 4 days in Luxor. Its lovely rooftop deck overlooking the Luxor Temple and the Nile was my sanctuary and refuge from the intensity of Egyptian streets. I spent hours up there reading in the sun, being served tea and inexpensive meals whenever I asked. The rooms are very comfortable. The courteous staff feels like family now. The place is very clean, well staffed, and helpful with everything from directions, recommendations for things to do, laundry--even arranging reasonably-priced tours. I hope I'll be as lucky during the rest of my stay in Egypt.

“Good value excellent staff”

We ate here twice during our recent stay in Luxor sampling camel and other local delicacies,we had coffee on the roof terrace with fanastic views across to the illuminated Valley of the Kings. They do not serve alcohol but have no problem with you buying it around the corner in the licquor store and taking it in with no corkage charge. Aladin the owner was very helpful showing us the rooms which were very clean and nicely decorated, sort of boutique style really,He is in the process of hand painting the ceilings on each floor they are a credit to him!If we are lucky enough to go to Luxor again I would love to stay here with its central location in the souks.Because of its location it is not quiet but hey when you go to Luxor you need to experience the whole atmosphere!I am sure his grandfather who opened to hotel in the 1950's would be very proud of Aladin and all he has done.

“Very centrally located mid range hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 January 2012

Located overlooking Luxor temple just inside the tourist souk the hotel is very conveniently located. The rooms are small but clean, equipped with TV, fridge and noisy aircon. Staff are very friendly and willing to help out with advice and booking tours through their agency.
The hotel is still in the process of being improved, when we were there the bedsheets didn't fit the bed properly, there were no hooks in the bathroom, things we were assured are in the process of being sorted out.
There is a rooftop restaurant which serves a very limited breakfast and OK dinner, views over the temple are nice though, doesn't serve alcohol but you are welcome to BYO.
I thought good value and very welcoming.

Room Tip: Go for a middle floor to avoid noise from the roof and ground floor restaurants.

“Pleasant above average high value guesthouse experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 January 2012

For the money you are paying, pound for pound, Neferiti offers a great location, comfortable accommodations and an array of resources. It's proximity to the market and key sights makes it the perfect home base for Luxor. Everyone raves about the rooftop terrace but I must add that its staff is knowledgable and can assist in creating efficient itineraries without collecting unfair commissions. Would definitely stay again.
