A great location to explore Luxor from. The hotel has everything you need, and the courtyard garden is a good place to relax after the hustle and bustle of central Luxor. Food is also excellent. But the best part is the service; the owners/staff do everything they can to help you, and can arrange everything from bike hire to trips and tours if needed.

Unfortunately, while I was in Luxor I had my backpack and passport stolen. Not the fault of the hotel at all, but the owner did everything he could to help me out, speaking to the police, taking me to see the officials to get paperworked sorted out, and arranging transport so I could get home. I don't know what I would have done without him! All in all, a great service.

That the place is difficult to find what they like it site distinct and very quiet and the treatment of the owner of the hotel to us like a member of his family and the hotel staff polite and you will find in the hotel garden where you can eat your meal in the restaurant's main center of the garden and the rooms clean, all you can guess from the comforts you'll find in the Amon

Well located on the west bank, Amon hotel is the place to stay in Luxor for those who want to enjoy Tombs & Temples as well as the peacefull & quiet atmosphere of an egyptian village. The rooms are well maintened, the staff is efficient and polite. Big terrace on the roof, good spot to observe the local life. The garden is beautifull, it makes you forgot that the desert is so close. Warm welcome from the owners, always available and happy to sit and talk or share a drink by the fireside. Definitly the place to stay, hope you will enjoy like we did.

The front of this hotel does little to let you know what is behind the wall. Great garden, quiet after busy days and a real Egyptian experience. We had dinner made to order outside, surrounded by heavy curtains to keep out the cold and even a wood fire. A lovely owner who did all that he could to make our stay enjoyable. Rooms - basic but clean, lots of hot water and towels.
