“Nile Sailing-Dahabeya ""Yasmine 1"'”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 January 2012

I was looking for a travel agency to book Dahabeya, came across Minamar agency online. The contact person was Raed Sedky, communication started in October 11 for the trip that took place in January 2012. He answered every question, his reply was timely and efficient.
I read a lot of complains on Minamar service but my experience was totally different. I would not hesitate to rate the service Excellent.
Our trip was from Luxor to Aswan 4 nights in Dahabeya ''Yasmine 1".
We originally booked for Dahabeya called '"Amelia"' but few days before the trip Mr. Raed Sedky called to inform me the good news that he will upgrade us to a 5 star luxury Dahabeya with the same cost we paid for the initial one. This was great. here is the link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tsh1i0gnilk
We arrived Luxor and Mr. Badawy (luxor branch manager) was waiting for us in the airport, we had a problem with the return flight ticket (we booked it directly and not via Minamar), but Mr. Badawy offered to take up this matter and took our tickets and went to Egypt Air to solve our problem. While we continued with the tour and He did the job for us, although it was not his responsibility.
Our tour guide was Mr. Ahmed Mahmoud, Very friendly and very professional, he made our visits and tour pleasant and very interesting. Highly recommended.
The crew of the boat were fantastic. Literally they made our trip. The head chef "Ragab'' was creating creative menu every meal. The food was excellent. Huge quantities and great taste. He was making sure we are delighted with every meal. and he prepared special meal requests that was really delicious and mouthwatering, it was hard to stop eating.
The waiters "Ayman'' and ''Kamal'' were dedicated, ready to serve us all the time with a great smile and pleasant attitude.
They went the extra mile to get us anything we might think of or desire, it was great to get us sweet sugar cane from one of the villages that we stopped at.
The room service and cleaning was done twice a day, leaving the room, fresh and tidy with the touch of a 5 star hotel.
It is a pleasure to get to know such great people. Minamar is highly recommended.

I did many Nile cruises with the big ships before, but it is a different experience and taste with the sailing Dahabeya boat. It is so relaxing. It is a real vacation.
We had the whole boat for our family, so it was simply amazing to be on deck in the sun alone enjoying the magnificent view of the Nile and being served with best crew.

“Nile Cruise/Desert & Giza Pyramid Tour”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 January 2012

My family started to plan our 10-day free and easy Eqypt tour 21/2 months ahead of our early Dec departure. We requested for quotes from a few Egypt tour agents but finally decided to solicit the services of Minamar Tour though there were some not so good reviews posted on Trip Advisor. Mr Raed Sedky, Asst Tourism Manager, provided quotes, advice and information that we requested for usually within a day, given there was time difference between Cairo and Singapore. All tour arrangement went well as per planned. The 4N5D cruise from Luxor to Aswan was relaxing and guides assigned were adequately informative and knowledgeable. The 1N2D desert tour and Giza tour were fine too. The mini van that transported us for all land transfers was in good condiiton and very comfortable indeed as there was only 3 in the family.

Overall, we were happy with the services of Minamar Tour and would certainly recommend them to others intending to visit Egypt.

Room Tip: As it was free and easy tour, we made our own hotel reservations in Cairo instead. Stayed 5 nights a...

“Excursions from a Nile Cruise boat”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 December 2011

We booked excursions to Abu Simbel, Luxor West & East bank from our Nile Cruise boat through Minimar, before we left the UK. Mr Raed Sedky's help in arranging those excursions was invaluable as my wife is disabled, and everything he put in place worked like clockwork. He was most thoughtful in putting together the timings to suit our needs and ensuring that all that we had requested, was provided. The prices agreed were considerably more competitive than those being offered by our cruise operator.

We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to Mr Hassan Sedik, who was our Egyptologist and tour guide for all of the above excursions, for his courtesy, his patience, his help, the depth of his knowledge and the ease at which he explained it all to us (although we're not sure we will remember all of it!). We could not have wished for anyone better to have been with us.

Both individuals have certainly put the company in a very good light and we would not hesitate to recommend Minimar to anyone who is considering going to Egypt.

“desert tour”

We looked for a local agent that could organize a customized desert tour (Giza, Fayum, Djara cave, black & white deserts, great sand sea, siwa and El alamein). Minamar &Select Egypt provided us their services, which we found really excellent in organization (Raed), in guiding and teaching us (Omar), in carrying us here and there, setting the camp and cooking (Mustafà and 'Fattuta'); all for a reasonable price. I have some other travel experience, and I could affirm this is one of the best.
Highly recommended!!

“Overnight trip to Cairo , Egypt from Alexandria”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 November 2011

The hotel in Giza was ok for a night stay . The service by Minamar was very good. The tour guide they sent was Medu , an egyptologist very knowledgeable , have a nice sense of humor. and Raed Sedki , the manager of the agency was prompt in answering all my querries and very accomodating. The price he quoted us was very reasonable , provided us with 2 great buffet lunch and entrance fees to the museum and sites we visited. If you will get the service of Minamar or any other agency I highly recommend MEDU , he is a free lance tourist guide . He is exceptional , I can say this because this is my second trip to Egypt , and I am comparing his explanation to that of my previous tour guide. Both trips we made are with a private vehicle.
