We recently travelled to Egypt and our travel agent Egypt Today Travel offered us this hotel. We weren't sure at first because it looked a bit big and bold, but actually it was the perfect choice. Great location to get from the airport and the hotel itself, the staff, the service and the restaurants were first class. Would definately go back

The reception staff are great and welcoming. Probably one of the greatest staff in a hotel in Egypt. The hotel has a free limousine service to get you to the airport, but probably sometimes you have to tip your way to it, don't know if this is standard procedure.
I stayed in an executive suite room, the room is spacious and nice. Room service cleaned the room well everyday, though i think the carpet needed some work. The carpets on the floor should be changed to give the room a majestic look, instead it just made a great room look dull.
I think additional services should be made available in the rooms, maybe something to make tea?! safe?
I cant say anything about the location because all my trips were nearby, except when i took a taxi to the pyramids and the national museum and back to the hotel to catch my plane all in the morning hours till 3-4 PM.
This brings us to the food, serious work should be done on the menus. Not the taste but on the available options, what they had can be found in hotels with lesser star ratings.
Overall the hotel is average for a 5 star, but the staff are great and with a little work they can live up to the 5* rating.

I'm really disappointed by this hotel. The lobby is nice with marble, but the corridor is dim lit and needs a good painting.
The room is not impressive, no guest booklet, old-fashioned furniture, old TV (ray tube in 2012!) with channels dropping even now and then, and smells like moisutre. Good point though, hte wifi is FOC.

We arrived mid-afternoon and after checking in needed something to eat. The only place that seemed to be open was Fauchon, a fancy French-style coffee-shop in the lobby. I ordered a shrimp and vegetable tart and after about 45 mns (I am not joking) a plate arrived with four fried shrimp alongside a slice of white toasted bread with lukewarm carrot and celery on top. For that and a cup of mint tea (waiting time about 15 mins) I paid about 10 euro.
Both my daughter and I had difficulty getting into the room using the electronic key. When I asked for help at reception another guest agreed that she also had difficulty. They reprogrammed our cards and a staff member accompanied us to our room where of course the key worked on the second try. The staff member made me feel like a fool rather than being apologetic.
Breakfast at 6 am was fine and the waiter had fried eggs freshly cooked for us. Convenient for the airport.
