This hotel truly shows the best of South East Asian luxuries. Though a bit pricey, its well worth it and a great show that Asian brands can be as if not more luxurious that Western brands.

Second stay at the Sukhotahi. Upon our arrival, we were once again awed by the sheer beauty of this place. As soon as you turn into the driveway, you feel immediately the serenity and quiet, forgetting the long trip to get there all the way from Europe.
We selected a superior room, as it was a fantastic deal, and we knew they had all been recently renovated. We were very pleasantly surprised to see they managed to keep their unforgettable style, while offering very modern amenities, such as a beautiful rainshower, a sophisticated lightning system and japanese like toilets... Speaking of which, our toilet flushing system, got broken at 11.30 pm. We called reception, waited 10 min for somebody to show up... Turned out the problem was difficult to solve, and we had to "insist" to have a change of room, as they seemed to find perfectly normal for us to wait more than 1/2 hour at midnight after a 15 hour trip. Not 5 stars at all :-( we felt like they had only junior staff on call, and although very sweet, they did not have the normal "reflexes" you would expect for a hotel of this category. Finally, they moved us and the remainder of our stay was flawless.
The room was very confortable, and we felt very pampered. Breakfast is one of the best we've had, with superior service.
If not for the mentioned problem, I would have definately given a 5.
As this our 2nd visit, also with a glitch, we very much hope our next stay will be perfect!
My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights enroute to Sydney from London. We wanted a hotel where we could just relax and enjoy some warm weather. Our stay was perfect from start to finish. We were upgraded to a bigger room on arrival which was a nice touch. The rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated. The bed and pillows would have to be the best hotel bed I have ever slept in and for once the airconditioner just seem to be set at the perfect temperature.
The gym facilities are good and the pool area is really pretty and relaxing. We didn't leave the hotel the whole stay apart from to go out for dinner. We did eat at the hotel on our first night and was nice. If you get the chance to eat at Napa on 26 (5 min taxi ride) you will not be disappointed!
Breakfast was also a highlight, a good mix of different foods which we thoroughly enjoyed and the coffee was pretty good too.
Service was friendly throughout and if I were to come back to Bangkok I would definitely stay again!
Stayed for the first two nights of our honeymoon- Great hotel in a brilliant location (short walk to Skytrain, Patpong and amazing Lumphini park). Pool area is the star attraction, but the bar and restaurants are also lovely. We had a room overlooking the pool (superior?) and it was very nice indeed. Staff are exceptional and decor is good.
I was lucky to stay at the Sukhothai hotel in Bangkok as my foot was hurt and I had to visit hospital daily. People are treated here like kings and food is awesome. The chocolate buffet is really great and worth every penny (900 bath). There are lots of weddings in the garden and it is nice to watch people celebrating and have fun. My room (superior) had a nice King size bed and all nice things, including the japanese toilet, that washes your butt by just pushing a button :)
I would recommed this hotel to anybody, who would love great food& athmospere.
