We stayed in a 2 bed apartment for 1 week at the beginning of August (2 adults, 2 children aged 9 and 11) - it was perfect - 1 double, 1 twin, 1 bath/shower/WC, 1 ensuite shower/WC, sitting room with kitchen, small balcony. The online booking was easy and the hotel very helpful before we even arrived. I had been worried about some of the reviews that it was tucked away on not in the toursit areas but that it what made it so good for us. It is just North of the tourist areas not far from Victory Monument but only a 5 min walk to the Skytrain that is safe both day and night even with children. If you really can't manage that they have a hotel tuk tuk that will take you. The area is very Thai, not tourist restaurants but some great local ones, not much english but they are very friendly and helpful and we had some fun evenings. It was also easy to get taxis just round the corner if you were going elsewhere. The apartments are clean and modern, the kitchens are fairly sparsely equipped but there is so much street, take away and delivery available you do not really need to cook. We did one supermarket shop for breakfast things(modern supermarket about 10 min walk up road but plenty of seven elevens everywhere) and ate out for all the other meals. There is a good swimming pool, not huge but just the thing after a hard day of site seeing. There is a small gym overlooking the pool and free laundry room with about 6 machines and 6 dryers, all very clean and tidy. I would definitely recommend it to a family, so much nicer than interconnecting rooms in a city hotel.
