My mother and I stayed at Victoria falls safari lodge in December 2013 for 5 nights and it was a highlight of our African trip. We traveled to Victoria falls hotel and numerous other hotels however the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge just had such a special and magical feel to it! It was buzzy with happy faces all around and people going out on tours/ activities which gave the lodge a vibrant feel however it was also perfect for enjoying a quiet and relaxing afternoon by the pool which was a saviour during the December heat!

There are a range of activities in which the staff at the lodge are more than happy to organise for you! We did the Victoria falls tour(a must), elephant back safari which was another incredible experience in itself, stanly and Livingston game park drive, vulture feeding which is done at the lodge. There are plenty of other activities however we were limited for time. If you don't feel like spending extra money on taking a safari drive you can observe a range of wild life from your room balcony, the main lodge viewing deck and pool side which all overlook a beautiful waterhole! We saw crocs, plenty of water hog, bird life, buck, and we were surprised with a large herd of elephants with young babies that were thoroughly enjoying a cool down at the waterhole!

The rooms were lovely, all we'll furnished with a beautiful African theme, the beds were extremely comfortable, bathrooms spacious and all round very clean and tidy, plenty of power points and tea/coffee/mini bar facilities and WIFI was great in the room and also in the main lodge dining and reception areas. Each room had a balcony overlooking the waterhole so you can constantly watch the animal activity from the comfort of your room!

All of the staff were extremely helpful and really went out of their way to ensure we had a pleasurable stay. We did tip as we were continuously impressed by the level of service we received. The food was outstanding and far exceeded our expectations, I would they recommend the warthog it was delicious!

Transfers to and from the airport were all organised for us and overall it was just a fantastic trip and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to travel to the Victoria Falls region.

Room tip: Would definitely recommend a room with a waterhole facing balcony.

We recently organised our wedding through Vic Falls Safari Lodge and we had the most amazing time and cannot thank Vic Falls Safari Lodge and the team there enough for all their hard work to make our day so special. The team was so easy to work with and very quick to respond to queries, which was particularly important given that we were trying to organise it from overseas. Their recommendations for who to work with for anything that could not be done by the hotel directly were also excellent. We are so pleased that we decided to work with Vic Falls Safari Lodge to plan our wedding as the day was just such an amazing and wonderful occasion.

I stayed here for foyer night's with friends. Its a stunning hotel. As you drive in you are met at the thatched reception by a wonderful concierge. The restaurant serves brilliant food. Ew also dined at The Boma which is located a little away from the reception. We sat around a big fire under the stars and ate Ostrich burgers, Impala steaks and washed it down with some great wine. All the rooms, and indeed the whole hotel, overlooks a waterhole. Every night we sat on the terrace and watched Elephants, buck, and endless monkeys come and go. Of course we visited the falls which are awesome, but the whole trip was made so great by the hotel.

We had dinner here. Drinks on the veranda overlooking the waterhole. Then up to the restaurant with a super view. Two of us had good steaks and the other grilled warthog. Both very good. African singers.
came round. Elephants at the waterhole and a spotted hyena below us. What more can we ask for!

Victoria Falls Safari Lodge is a multilevel, thatched-roofed establishment – quite rustic in appearance, but comfortable. My wife and I shared an adjoining room with our daughter. The beds were comfortable and included mosquito netting. Everything was clean and well kept. The lodge includes a watering hole where one can view various animals. The food was plentiful and good. But, as the lodge was isolated, it would have been nice to have additional restaurants on site to choose from. The lodge provided transportation, twice daily, to town and Victoria Falls. The staff was quite accommodating and pleasant each time we needed assistance. Were we to visit this area again, we might consider another establishment that is closer to the Falls and to town, but we were still pleased with VFSL.
