Recommended overall.
I stayed here for seven nights in March 2011, as a sixty-five-year-old Briton travelling alone. I had a first floor room with private toilet, shower and washbasin room en-suite.
.271 dirhams for first night and 250 thereafter - cash only
.clean throughout, well-maintained, with good standard of decoration and furniture.
.friendly helpful staff.
.two minutes walk from Meknes Abdel Kader railway station, where most trains stop.
.in a main road in a safe-seeming area with cheap restaurants and all types of businesses nearby.
.salon marocain on ground floor and courtyards on roof and first floor.
.TV in dining room / salon area with English language news available on request.
.comfortable double bed with plenty of extra blankets and pillows.
.power points in bedroom
.cofee available at 10 dirhams, but no food.
.concierge always seated at reception.
Bad points:
.cold gloomy bedrooms designed to be cool in hot weather - radiator was inadequate for cold mornings and evenings in March.
.very poor breakfast - good coffee with top-ups, one crusty bedroll with a little butter and jam, one chocolate pastry. No alternatives, no orange juice, no croissants, no fruit.
. no wi-fi.
.single bed was narrow and uncomfortable.
.one wire coat hanger in wardrobe. one hard chair in room.
