The website that calls this a "backpackers' hostel" is accurate. It is acceptably clean (though only one sheet is provided), the rooms are private, the place is safe and secure. But--unless you are very young and very tolerant of other guests who can stay up late in the courtyard talking loudly and having a good time when other (perhaps older) folks want to sleep, consider going elsewhere. . . Plus, as a basic hostel, it is very over-priced. For either backpackers or older visitors, you couldn't beat the value of the Jnane Mogador, more elegant and closer to the square. . . Riad Adraoui does have an excellent staff, and Amine, who is on duty from 8 pm. to 8 a.m., is very friendly, speaks pretty good English, and will do anything for you, from hooking up your computer to finding a trustworthy personal friend to be your informal "guide" to lead you around the confusing streets, to personally going out to the square and finding a taxi for you early in the morning.
