“Nothing was too much trouble”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 April 2011

My wife and I stayed at Dar More for three nights in early April.A transfer to the hotel was arranged for us which was just as well since to find the riad the first time would have been very difficult. The riad was lovely and the staff very friendly and helpful. We had booked the smallest room Bagatelle I think , and on returning for a further night ,after a trip to the desert, had a larger room. While the comfort and amenities are of a similar standard,I think the larger room made the stay much more relaxing and would recommend this option.the continental breakfast was fresh and delicious. On two occasions we had to be away early and breakfast was arranged for us specially by Abdul , again it just made things so much easier.Dominique arranged a reliable car hire for us at a good rate and solved any other problems we had.On our last night night at the riad we decided to eat in.The meal was the best we had in morroco,a beer and glass of wine ,even better.
The riad is about five minutes walk from the square and a bit less to the entrance to the medina.I think this was a good position.
Dominique,Abdul, and the girls were always friendly ,smiling ,happy and helpful.Nothing was too much trouble and we had the feeling that our enjoyment of our stay was important to them.

“An elegant oasis of calm in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the city”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 March 2011

We stayed at Riad Dar More in Marrakech for just one night in March 2011.
This is an elegant, modern riad built in typical Moroccan style. Dominique, the very elegant French owner has definitely given this riad her feminine touch. It is very stylish and tastefully furnished and has an air of calm in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the medina. It is located very close to the main sights in the city, which are all very walkable. The riad is at the end of a maze of alleyways, as are a lot of the riads but, with instructions from the owner, you soon learn to find your way back.
Our room was on the ground floor and was very roomy and comfortable however, not much room for hanging your clothes. It was fine for us as we were there for only one night. If you were staying for a week, you would probably be better with one of the other rooms. The room was air-conditioned and had tea/coffee making facilities. The bathroom was clean and modern with a large, walk-in shower, however, no shower door, so be careful not to flood the bathroom. Bathrobes are provided. There was a delightful roof terrace with table, chairs and loungers and views over the rooftops of surrounding area.
The only negative point here is that although the riad has a beautiful calm atmosphere, this is somewhat disturbed momentarily at around 6am in the morning when the nearby mosque blasts out it’s call to prayer. It doesn’t last long but it does wake you up. However, with a bit of luck you will fall back asleep again once they have stopped their chanting.
We had breakfast in the courtyard, which has a lovely cascading water feature. Breakfast comprised of freshly baked bread and pastries with fresh orange juice and freshly brewed coffee.
Dominique arranged for a man with a cart to collect our luggage in the morning who took the cases to a waiting taxi at the end of the alley, which took us to the airport.
We only stayed here for one night but would certainly recommend using this riad for a longer stay. You will be made very welcome. This is a very elegant riad and the service is great.

“beautiful riad and fantastic staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 March 2011

We had a great stay in this riad, including a cooking lesson and shopping in the markets beforehand for the food! Eating our hard work (!) on the rood top terrace with a bottle of wine topped it off nicely! Very stylish decor and really comfy beds too! The staff were really friendly and helpful - definitely recommended.

“Friendly attentive service in a beautifully appointed Riad”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 February 2011

We stayed for 4 nights in Dominique's beautiful and stylish Riad. She and her staff were friendly, helpful and unobtrusively efficient. The breakfasts had different items each day. We had dinner on the first night (need to order in the morning) which was excellent and as good as meals we had in more expensive resaurants in Marrakech. The Riad is located in a very quiet street, the local Mosque is close so you do hear the calls to prayer, but I imagine that will be true in most places in the old town of Marrakech. Overall a wonderful stay and we would certianly say at Riad Dar More again.

“Great value, ambiance and service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2011

Riad Dar More is not a five star hotel and does not pretend to be one, but is a stylish, service oriented, boutique hotel suited for couples and independent travelers. Dominque runs the place with great passion for details and guests, recommending and making reservations at great hammams and restaurants, and we would think of no better place to stay when returning to Marrakech. Like in many other boutique hotels, the design sometimes seems more important than functionality at Riad Dar More, but it is more of a nuisance than a real problem.
