“Clean, safe hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 October 2011

The room was clean but not too bright and the air conditioning was pretty good. The only creepy thing as a lone female was that the lights in the hallways come on via motion sensors (great for energy saving) however not so much fun in the evenings. The pool which you see from the lobby was a nice place to lounge and relax. I did not experience the bar or the restaurant here. Nearby the hotel is a minimall of sorts that is connected to the railway station (maybe a 5-7 minute walk) there is a McDonalds, KFC and a few other restaurants and convinience type stores located here. Overall I went to the front desk a few times, once complaining about the lights not turning on in my room, second to ask for a map and third to ask for food - each time the staff understood my request and tried thier best to help.

“Clean, comfortable rooms, good location, food not so good.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 August 2011

The rooms, were clean and comfortable with excellent air con and big balconys. The bar was very smalll, as was the pool which isn't open air. Breakfast was not to standard but staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed here twice and after some terrible hotels, were relieved to return here

“One of the worst experience ever”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 April 2010

After my first night spend at the hotel, without a mini bar in the room to get even water since i checked in at 1am, and a towel to have a shower, i wasnt quite impressed about the service.the 2nd day was even worse, after 1 day spend around town, i came back to the hotel at 7pm, to find my suitcase moved to another room, without havent been informed..when i asked the director about explanations, they have asked me to take life in a positive way, and that i should be happy that my luggage is safe anyway in a different room, it could have been ok, if the staff didnt forget half of my stuff in the room where i was staying before.i find this behaviour unacceptable and i was not taken seriously when i complained about the problem.I think the whole staff should learn to treat people in a different manner and be more respectful.

“Great Value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 February 2010

This hotel was a bargain. A basic but hearty and tasty breakfast, clean rooms and friendly staff. Rooms are ensuite with good showers and provide a very quiet and dark night's sleep.

Its a 20-25 minute stroll to the Djemaa el fna and Souqs, but near to the train station (2mins) and some reasonable restaurants.

Downsides: Swimming pool is not heated as I found out to my horror jumping in in February, and the staff at the hotel only speak basic English and Spanish. But these are obviously minor quibbles.

Stayed here for three nights at the end of a budget group tour and it was a great way to finish the trip. After two weeks of basic hotels this one was luxury! Rooms were a decent size with good bathrooms, including little shampoo bottles and plenty of soap. The towels one day were a bit ratty but the following two days were large and clean. The bed was comfortable and sheets clean, although like all of Morocco the bottom sheet is always a little small for the bed so comes untucked.
The little bar downstairs was a good place to have a drink and catch up on the day but we did drink them out of vodka on the first night. The pool looked nice although I don't think anyone would really use it as it is exposed to the lobby, restaurant and bar so you would feel like a goldfish. We could also look down on it from our rooms balcony.
Only negative comment would be the cleaning of the rooms - there was a spot of blood on the bathroom floor for the whole of our stay (it did come from my injured husband so at least we knew it's origin!) and he found an empty condom packet under the bed from a previous guest. But having said that - the sink, shower, toilet and other surfaces in the room were always clean so maybe they just didn't do below their knees!
The breakfast was pretty average and you would be better to go a couple of blocks down the street to one of the cafes. The hotel is about a 30 min walk from the medina and Djemma el Fna but the petit taxis are very cheap if you haggle hard - 25MAD is about right.
We found the staff to be very friendly although most of them do not speak much English.
All up it was an enjoyable stay and a nice place to finish off the trip.
