Appalling customer service from Hotels4U.com and Residence Intouriste. Very sad as I lived in Morocco (and for a short while in the Residence Intouriste). The hotel had been a favourite of mine, hence the resaon we choose it as a base whilst we visited family in Agadir. The hotel is now dirty, run down, is no longer cleaned or looked after. The rooms were over run with ants and we all suffered ants bites. We had to change rooms no less than 3 times. The hotel lost electricity 8 times whilst we were there, meaning we were unable to use the cooking facilities. The pans and utensils were so filthy we had to purchase new items from the market and borrow from our family. The restaurant served only burnt, cold food, by rude and insulting staff. All the towels provided were stained and were ripped with holes as big as 10cm in diameter. The reception short changed us every time we needed to change currency. When we pointed this out, they always had the excuse that they did not have enough change, and that we had to come back later to pick up our missing change! Each time we returnded to collect the money that belonged to us, they denied all knowlegde. The hotel suspended the shuttle bus service meaning we were stranded (it is a good 30 mins walk into the town centre, and through the building site notorious for muggings). The small taxis in Morocco only take a maximum of 3 people at any one time, which was a nightmare for us (2 adults, 2 small toddlers). When I called to complain to the Hotels4U.com rep, he answered only on the 4th time of calling over 3 days. The rep, a local, told me that he could only help if i wanted to book an excursion! They are willing to take your money, but not make sure your family are ok. . There is a lot more that they failed on but too much to mention in this review. Very sad and very disappointing. I worked in Morocco in the travel industry and have never experienced this before. Neither company cared about my family and the money we had spent to visit our family. We have video and photo evidence of all. Do not book this hotel. It is too far out when the shuttle bus is no longer available, and is in desperate need of renovation and repair. Do not book through Hotels4U.com for accomodation in Morocco, there is no one available when you need them. They just want your money.

Impressive foyer rooms huge bed gigantic all very comfortable staff very helpful except for one particularly obnoxious receptionist who disliked us because we are not French but apart from him everyone else was helpful & friendly. Location a bit remote we hired bikes to save having to get a taxi into town which was a couple of miles away and the nearest part of the beach was about a mile away.

This is amazing place. Not very close to a beach but staff, views, events are unbelievable. Close to big Market. There is Ocean view one side and Atlas mountains on the other. Great place for holidays. I will never forget.

We booked this hotel as it was cheaper to book a package holiday to Agadir than to book flights on their own. We only planned on staying for the first and last night. Thankfully we had arranged other accommodation in Essaouira because we didn't like much about Agadir.
We arrived late at night (probably about 2am-ish) and queued with the others from our flight for 30-45 minutes to be checked in. I didn't couldn't understand why they didn't have a better system in place for checking in tired travelers arriving so late at night.
The rooms are fine. They're clean, spacious and the bed was huge - 2 people could sleep like a star without touching the other!
The next morning we decided to go to the shop to get breakfast that we could enjoy on our balcony. There's a shop in the complex although very limited, otherwise you are wandering around roadds with no footpaths trying to reach civilisation. The view from the balcony was of the pool and a building site... No big deal really but certainly no picturesque souks or mosques or rolling mountains of argan trees!
We ended up staying the second night as we were still tired from the trip, we grabbed a taxi into town and ate in one of the endless British / German / Irish food places offering an array of Western food. There is plenty of seafood options so it's worth researching your restaurants before you go out in Agadir, otherwise you'll end up with Tex Mex or burgers.
The pool was clean, although they played terrible - really really terrible - music all day. Bryan Adams style. Whenever the staff left the pool I would sneak up and turn it off. It was head melting. The entertainment at night was typical package holiday entertainment (I presume) - snake charmers, karaoke etc. Nightmare again.
This accommodation was the perfect stop gap for us on our way to Essaouira, it's a 10-15 minute walk from the centre of Agadir, it really is the middle of nowhere. The standard is fine, it's clean and I had no problems with the staff but I'm so glad we didn't have to stay any longer than the 3 nights. I think it would have felt claustrophic
