“Great location, large pool, good breakfast buffet”

Formally the Embassy Suites now Diamond International's timeshare resort on Kaanapali Beach. Very nice grounds, large pool, water slide, small gym just off the pool area. Great views across the water of Molokai and Lanai. Resort has a restaurant, grill bar, pizza area, etc. Also has an activity center for the kids. Sit on the beach and watch the whales from Nov - April. We had a one bedroom suite. While everyone would like an ocean view or ocean front our room faced the mountains which was a very nice view. The rooms are very large. Very comfortable king bed, in living room there is a nice sized sleeper sofa, bathroom has a separate shower and tub and two separate sinks. Kitchen area has a microwave, dishwasher, full refrigerator. Refrigerator had no ice maker or ice trays but there was an ice machine on the floor. There is no stove top but there was an electric skillet. Across the street is a small strip mall with a Times grocery store (somewhat expensive). The Kaanapali Beach Club is going through a room renovation program, beginning on the top floors, with a plan to have all rooms renovated within the next four years. It was obvious, when we checked in, that the furniture and rugs need upgrading. The A/C unit was a bit noisy but not unbearable. We noticed a musty odor when we first got to the room but after running the A/C for a few hours the mustiness went away. WIFI access is available in the lobby. There are no laundry facilities in the room. Each even floor has a small laundry, on washing machine and two dryers. Laundry facilities are free.

Please note - this is a timeshare resort. I've seen a number of complains on Trip Advisor from people, who booked at a timeshare, but were expecting typical hotel services. As with most timeshares there IS NOT daily maid service. They do provide, in the middle of the week if you are staying seven nights, a room tidy up with towel exchange. Also, if you are not a timeshare owner here, there may be some fees such as parking so I would suggest that you check with the resort so that you know what fees to expect.

Not a bad place to be to get away from the winter!

“Great place, perfect for kids”

Absolutely fantastic resort. Perfect for kids. The pool was great, complete with waterslide. Everything was very convenient. There was a multitude of activities to join in. The beach was great, although there was a rip tide when we were there. Only downside was the knives in the unit were terrible. Other than that, absolutely perfect. Would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: We all had units on the south facing side, which was great, as it filled the rooms with light. We h...

We stayed at Ka'anapali Beach Club from January 3rd to 6th this year. It was a short visit but memorable. We had a room over looking the pool and the ocean. It was awesome. We skipped the time share presentation, but I would highly recommend this place.

Room Tip: ask to face the pool

“Outdated but overall nice location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012

Checked in on December 31st. The resort is extremely dated in the common areas and overall maintenance is not up to date. For example a cracked mirror on the garage level near the elevator that obivously has been that way for quite sometime. Our suite on the 12th floor was nice although it took the water easily five minutes to warm up. The staff was great and helpful. Our concierge was very knowledgeable and helped us quite a bit. We do wish the hot tub/spa was larger (could only hold about 10 adults) Also, children were allowed to be in it which also limited the capacity for other adults. We would stay again. Don't let the timeshare sales people BS you. Our rep tried to sell us a weeks worth of points for $46,000.00 and once we weren't interested reduced the price to $30,000.00. She was PO that we wouldn't buy anything and insisted on being out in the agreed to time of 50 minutes. She was very ticked that I started my stopwatch as soon as she greeted us. Don't buy at this resort. She said it was a $600 a night property but I just ran a quote using trip advisor for $1800 for a week with delux oceanview. You can stay here by paying a nightly rate without buying timeshare and without maintenance fees going up year after year.

“Timeshare owner since 2009! And Honestly no complain what do ever.”

This Beautiful Resort located on kaanapali beach is like my second home. I have owned a Timeshare in Maui KBC since August 2009. It is absolutely beautiful. The prices are reasonable and the staff is very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are very beautiful and they are homey. The kitchen is small But for a hotel room, it's perfect, I mean you don't come to Maui to sitt in you kitchen in the hotel or do you? The sound of the birds when waking up in the hotel is great and I go here every summer and don't plan changing it for any reason. The pool is big and they have a waterside and 1 reasonable size jacuzzi. They have luau's for the people on the patio overlooking the water. The beach is next door and they provide towels. The hotel offers scuba diving lessons every day and has many clubs and free events in the hotel. I love KBC and every remember it when it was The Embacy. The resturant(Grill) is great! Reasonable prices! $6, $7! Dot a big deal. They have great pizza! Honestly the best I have ever tasted. Everyone has their own opinion I this place and I see alot of hateful ones but don't let that bad experience ruin your chance of going, you may fall in love just like me and my family have. :)
