This is undoubtedly one of the worst hotels stays I have ever experienced, and thought it would meet certain standards since it was a Days Inn. Starting from the unprofessional front desk personal - they looked more like they should be tending the family farm then greeting guests at a hotel. The wallpaper on the walls was peeling everywhere and by the second day, fell off the wall halfway down the wall and revealed thick black mold that we had been breathing. The upholstered chairs had stains on the seats. The bedspreads and blankets had cigarette burns (we were in a non-smoking room) The room smelled musty and smoky - I went through a whole bottle of Fabreeze and Lysol trying to fix the problem. It was during cold weather and to add insult to injury, there was no hot water - my husband and I had to take luke-warm showers, which ended on cold in 30 degree weather outside!! They moved our room and it was not much better - our keys did not work properly and my husband had to change out the key card 5 times in two days and when he complained, the front desk attendant said - "don't get so upset -things happen"
If it had not been a holiday and there were rooms available anywhere else close that we could have gone, we would have been out of there! Not a bit of compensation was made. This place does not deserve to be in business under a Days Inn sign.
