The place was clean. Food was great and the service was excellent. The new manager Carl is a master chef. The views and tranquility was overwhelming. It is near the city and near the airport. We would come back again.

We had great fun at CocoPando. The mainland beaches aren't much to look at, but it's a nice place to be outside of the city.

We arranged an airport pick-up and found Coco Pando to be a good base for our 1st night in Honduras in 2006. It's proximity to the airport, free shuttle, and rooftop restaurant made it convenient choice for us.

Nightmare at the Coco Pando!! It's a good thing we were fortunate enough to be in a minor car accident earlier in the day coming from Guatemala to delay our arrival to the Coco Pando in the darkness. One of the staff members were nice enough to come and meet us at a gas station in Le Ceiba for us to follow him through the "alleys" and mud holes to our long awaited nights rest. The room was disgusting to say the least, the sheets were thread bare and piled with balls, I "rested" fully clothed and wrapped my pillow in some dirty towels from my suitcase - I too was fooled by the reviews on this site, makes you wonder how many names Charlie Meador goes by?! We were there on a property hunt, even the local real estate agents were surprised we stayed at the Coco Pando. After a sleepless night, but a welcome to the 0500 am to get the heck out of there, we checked the place out in daylight after a 1 hour discussion on whether or not to use the filthy shower, I opted out on that too, we were amazed at the condition of the rest of the "resort", I mean dump. The beach was a shame, I was embarassed for them, littered with garbage and bottles. I was in such disbelief that I had a beer for breakfast, first time I have ever done that in my life. Fellow Travellers, be warned - stay away!
