I recently had the Displeasure of staying at the La Quinta hotel in La Ceiba Honduras.
I understand that I was no longer in the United States but to truly understand what type of hotel this is for its value (estimated $80.00 U.S dollars)it is not worth your hard earned money. My room faucet leaked all night long, only 1 towel per guest, dirty property, Dirty bed sheets, Dirty pool, and my room had an odor, and finally even bugs. Restaurant service was horrible waited a very long time for my food to arrive. This Hotel clearly shows it’s in business for the money and not to provide a hospitality service.

We went as a group 12 who were serving the people of Honduras.
We found La Quinta clean, mostly helpful staff (although I think some can speak more English than they let on!) and the pool was a delight, we saw this being cleaned daily.
Baskin' Robins and Dunking Doughnuts next door are a real treat.
It is five minutes walk to the Mall.
Very friendly security, Wifi in reception and pool area this works really well. They dealt with problems when they arose and offered another room when the air conditioning broke down.

This centrally located hotel is easy to find. Rooms might be a bit old including the box-type A.C. unit. But at least its noise muffles any outside noise. Although I stayed on a Monday night, there happened to be an event that included a loud band that played until midnight.

Should you be on business to La Ceiba, this hotel resolves your need. Well priced and relatively well kept. It is recommended that you drive here since walking at night seemed a bit dark and most good restaurants were a bit far for walking. Fast food surrounds the location should you need to get something in a hurry.

in 1999 I was a Helicopter Crew Chief with the Kansas National Guard, we were in Hondouras for Disaster relief after Huricane Mitch. We had flown a heat casualty to La Ceiba hospital landing in a soccer field by the hospital and within sight of the hotel. It was after dark when we landed so the government would not let us fly after dark so we slept in our helicopter until morning. In the morning light we saw the la Quinta sign through the trees so we walked over for a shower and breakfast, the staff let us use an empty room to clean up in and "Gave" us a great American breakfast. The hospital;ity was awesome.... Thanks!
