This hotel was perfect for our group's needs. Owner, Barbara Sickenberger, went out of her way to ensure we had a good experience. Hotel just a few minutes from the airport. Free pickup & drop off at airport, though car could only carry 3 plus driver, so we took multiple trips. Food was great. Loved the bratwurst (Barbara is German.)

I stayed at Rainbow Village the night before an early flight out of La Ceiba. Clean rooms, good service and the option of a convenient traffic-free airport drop off. Would recommend to anyone needing to catch flights out of La Ceiba (especially useful if the Bay Island ferries are not running, and that's where you're looking to go).

We had heard of the Rainbow Village from other ex-pats on the Bay Islands. So when we missed our flight to Utila, we decided to give it a try. Very good decision. The cabanas are clean, air conditioned, with a full kitchen, two bedrooms with one bath, hot water, little porch looking out at the small pool and small restaurant. Nice landscaping. The hostess is very nice and extremely helpful. The food is terrific. They are pet friendly, too. We would definitely recommend the Rainbow Village and will, no doubt, stay there again. As an aside, they are located mere minutes from the La Ceiba airport (across the highway and off the road).

very friendly german owner Barbara is extremly helpful with everything (doing phonecalls, arrangeing tours/excursions, etc.) and even picks up customers at the craziest hours at the airport or bus station! furthermore she prepares excellent food in the restaurant of the hotel.

stayed there more than two weeks and could have easily enjoyed a longer stay!
