Lazy Daze offers beautiful accommodations and a great location on the small island of Utila, part of the Bay Islands of Honduras. There are both single rooms and apartments, as well as a fantastic Boat House offered at Lazy Daze. I had booked a single room for two weeks of scuba diving (at Alton's Dive Center, located just two docks away, which I can recommend as well) and Vicki offered to upgrade me to one of the two room apartments because it was available. Both offer A/C, private bath, cable TV, kitchen (the apartment added a stove), and are beautifully kept up and cleaned (the cleaning lady who came on Friday of my stay was FANTASTIC).

To top it off, all rooms are just steps from the dock and the water. Nothing like floating around off your own private dock. Or watching the sunsets over the ocean.

Vicki and Jim are extremely helpful about finding things on the island, helping you get settled, and figuring out things when you get confused by "the island way of doing things". Some of the nicest folks you will meet.

It is close enough to everything to walk. Overall, a great place to stay which contributed to my having a great two weeks in Utila.

As one of Utila´s frequent visitors I have stayed in many hotels and houses, this year I decided to attend the Sunjam with one of my friends and while checking Tripadvisor one add caught my eye... I contacted the hotel via email and they helped with my reservations. Once I got to the island I met one of the friendliest people on the island!! Vicky and her husband will make you feel right at home!!

The first time I saw my room, I fell in love with the hotel, its beautifully decorated and has all the appliances you need to make your stay a lot easier, the view is amazing since its an ocean front property...at the end Lazy Daze on the Bay offers you all the comfort of a big hotel and the the cozyness of a home in a great location.

Last week I stayed at the Lazy Daze Hotel for four nights. I think is one of the best hotels in the area and a nice place to stay with your couple or friends. It´s only a 6 minute walk from the main dock and 1 minute walk from restaurants and dive centers. It´s beside the Alton´s Dive Center and Utila Dive Center (UDC). Oceanfront, clean and new facilities, spacious rooms with all amenities (A/C, fan, private bathroom, cable TV, etc.) and apartments with the same amenities and full kitchen and living/dining room. There is also a private beach just a 5 minutes walk. In short the best choice to have a great time at Utila, no matter the purpose of your visit (diving or party). Walter.
