Note: I am clumbsy to the extreme.
This canopy tour was recommended by Barefoot Cay and we had such a fun time!! It was our first time ziplining and believe me - with our guides, safety was the most important thing. We went on a day that was on and off rainy, so some of the 'walk the plank' parts were a little slippery - but no problem - we were securely clipped in every step of the way.
Juan Carlo kept saying, "be careful! slippery!!" and me being overconfident (I blame my dinosaur t-shirt) - I thought I had it - and I slipped off and just hung there giggling hysterically like a dumb girl. Immediately both George and Juan Carlo jumped into action and got me back on the plank. Poor Juan Carlo actually got under me to help push me onto the plank - totally embarassing that I couldn't even do a pull up. They were very concerned and watched me like a hawk until we were off the plank (one in back of me and other walking backwards in front of me).
Seriously, at no point were we ever 'un hooked'. We were always attached by at least one security rope guy while being moved around and hooked and unhooked to various sections of the park.
The only thing I'm disappointed in is that the camera guy didn't get a photo of me hanging there like a dumbo and the guides helping me back up. Oh that's another thing - don't even worry about bringing a camera, a POTC photographer guy goes with - for a twenty spot you can buy a disc of your adventure at the end. Totally worth it since my husband only got two photos of my big butt and corresponding back chub.
