Caution, 2013 change in management and Inn Keeper. For returning guest, it is evident in the lost floral arrangements, magazines, lights not working, spots on carpet, frayed fabric on light switches and furniture. Also gone is the gourmet breakfast, now a breakfast much like any other hotel free hot breakfast. Don’t expect turn-down service with freshly made treats on your bed at night, nor a beautiful table setting for breakfast – it is serve yourself now. The new Inn Keeper is doing his best, but it is apparent the new management has him going in many different directions, including I understand, working in their restaurant in Auburn. Previous Inn Keeper Gary and Julie added charm and elegance to the property, and touches that just made you feel special - that is gone. It is still a good place to stay in Auburn, but in my opinion no longer a Trip Advisor five star rating I have given in the past.
