During my first trip to Milwaukee, friends and I totally enjoyed this walking trip (about 2 1/2 miles) based off of the North and South access of Historic Water Street and the River Walk. Our tour guide, Lori, was so informative and friendly. She took us to six different establishments during the tour: The Irish Pub for fish and chips, The Public Market for cheese and soda, Water Street Brewery for sausages, Scotch egg, and a beer tasting, Maders (famous German restaurant) for the most mouthwatering, delicious apple strudel ever!, The Intercontinental Milwaukee Hotel for some Wisconsin sparkling wine, and Joey Buonas Pizzeria for a great chocolate mousse cake and the best ever cannolis. Not only did we enjoy all of the places we visited AND the food we tasted, but we learned so much about the city, its people, architecture, and history. Great tour! (Evidently the 2 ½ miles of walking wasn’t enough to erase all the calories we consumed---according to my scale when I got home!)
