“Great location and service”

Ate an early dinner here, didn't get off to a good start when Jr decided to take a nosedive out of the car onto the road and bashed her face in! The manager was very kind, got us an ice pack and brought out toys and books to calm her down.

Food was great, Wife had a prawn tortilla basket thingy which she loved and Jr and I had fish & chips which we both enjoyed. Nothing beats a cold beer and good food looking out over the beach on a hot day.

Only downside is the habitual seagulls which will steal off your plate if you break eye contact - make sure you take your plates in after finishing unless a waitress is there to collect them.

I was in fact the manager on duty at this time and am so glad to hear your daughter is ok after her fall. It was a nightmare for you but so glad I could help.
Im also glad you enjoyed your meal with us and do hope to see you again. Yes, the seagulls do drive us bonkers here. They are a menace! I guess thats how it goes when you are right on the beach.

We both enjoying a light lunch over a long weekend. The cafe was busy, lots of people were dining on the deck overlooking the beachfront. Service was efficient inspite of the crowd. Food was filling, and fresh. Prices are reasonable. Premises are clean, and seating comfortable.

We enjoyed our Waitangi Day breakfast on the deck overlooking beautiful Onetangi beach (pity the sun couldn't break through the clouds). The choices for breakfast were what you'd expect and we all enjoyed our food. The coffee was delicious and the staff were very friendly.

“Amazing setting, ok food”

This is an amazing setting, right on the beach (apart from the road) and slightly elevated so the view is incredible. Fabulous place to sit and relax with a beer or a coffee. Food okay, nothing to rave about, but perfectly adequate! The staff are very friendly and helpful - a nice place to relax.
