The Matiatia Bay bed and breakfast is by far the most amazing B&B my wife and I have ever stayed!! The place is just minutes from the Fullers ferry drop off, which is a 30-40 min ride from Auckland. The ferry departs hourly. The room itself is spectacular with a wonderful view of Matiatia Bay and Auckland. All of the amenities in the room are first class - there is nothing that is missing. The B&B is about a 20-30 min walk to a very cute town - Oneroa - which has wonderful shops and restaurants.
The owner, Ms. Leagh King, is wonderful!! She is an amazing hostess and is incredibly friendly. The breakfast she provides is delicious!! In fact, on our last evening we were trying to order a pizza for delivery. The place we called would not deliver and Leagh drove me to pick up the pizza. Above and beyond the call!! I also highly recommend a wine tasting excursion by Ananda tours - very professional and we finished with a wonderful lunch. I also recommend dinner at Cable Bay on the island.
