This little place is easy to pass up. It was charming, very clean, and had some of the friendliest staff I found in all NZ. I was on my way to explore more of the south island and I choose to extend my stay another four day because of this great little town and lodge. Plus they had very good rates for all they offered.

Found this place on the Ferry over as we thought Picton might make a better bet than Blenheim (as it did) as a place to base ourselves in Marlborough. Admiral offered us a good discount for 3 nights and it proved to be a good choice. Doesn't look like much form the outside, however, it has good clean, spacious, redecorated rooms. An added bonus of Sky, use of their washing machine and free broadband definately added to the experience. We would stay here and in Picton again.

We stayed for a couple of nights, large, very well equiped and set out apartments. Owners will arrange for breakfasts to be brought in if you want them. Ideal as a base for touring. Happy to recommend on that basis. Used the swiss restaurant on the seafront and had a fantastic meal of locally caught red snapper.

Stayed here for a night after arriving by ferry before setting out on a week trip on the south island. Not close enough to the ferry to walk if you have bags but a short cab ride. Car rental agency will bring car to the hotel. Room was clean and neat.
