We spent Easter 2010 in Hotel Petit and it was a really positive experience. The hotel is just a few steps from the pedestrian street and my favorite shop and has the perfect location if you like to stay in the centre. The price was also very reasonable.
We asked for a room facing the backyard and found it quiet enough. But at certain times the smell of fish could get rather strong with an open window at night. I guess this is a general Skagen problem as it is quite close to the harbour. The room was small but comfortable, I've stayed in smaller rooms. The bathroom was nice and seemed newly renovated. You could get hairdryer, shaving stuff, toothbrush, etc. upon request. The beds were really comfortable and it was free WiFi in all rooms.
There was no room service, but a machine with free tea and coffee and another with soft drinks in the corridor. There was also a bookshelf with books for loan.
The breakfast was really great and plentiful. Cheese, meat, three sorts of jam, boiled eggs, tomatos, cucumber, cereals, yoghurt, rolls, two kinds of bread (really good), croissants, apple and orange juice, tea, chocolate, coffee, muffins and a big plate with fresh fruit in slices. A great Scandinavian breakfast!
We were provided with a Skagen map and information upon arrival and the owner was available for questions. Behind the hotel there is a private parking with approx. 15 spaces. During Easter the parking was free, but in the high season it's not and parking can be a problem in Skagen.
We had a really pleasant stay and left Skagen with good memories. Petit Skagen would definitely be our first choice on our next trip.
