When you see that old Soviet building you just need to smile a little, even though the hotel is old it is partly renovated and its no more and no less than you could expect from a regular 3 star hotel.
Like on most 3 star hotels not all the facilities are working, in this case it was not internet at the hotel, or no monitor by the computer to be more exact. And nobody spoke english at the hotel.
The rooms are rather small and the photos you see on the website are definetly more expensive rooms than standard double rooms. Bed was comfortable but they do not use alergic free washing powder for towels and covers. There were about 10 TV channels in total but mainly Lithuanian, Russian and Polish but they did have Sky News and CNN.
Coffee and tea making amenities are in the room as well as a fridge, or a freezer because everything froze in it so we had to plug, and unplug regularly to keep our beverages cool but not frozen.
Unfortunatly there are some constructions going on behind the hotel and will be until the end of 2009 so I advice you to ask about a room facing the town church.
Unique Qualities: All rooms have a balcony
The Hotel restaurant is classy, good and cheap and without a doubt the best that Pusynas has to offer.
Since 2006 the receptionist that spoke English has apparantly moved on to somewhere else, as I experienced little language difficulties, if my gf would not have been with me it might have gotten ugly :)
The breakfast buffet is kind of good, apart from that tiny little pieces of old bread you get.
Overall nice
