This was our 2nd stay at the Hotel Druskininkai and again we thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

As it was our honeymoon we upgraded to a suite with a balcony which was excellent and gave us lots of room. The decor in the room was looking a little bit tired (unlike the fresh modern double room we stayed in last year) and the lack of a table to have breakfast on was strange as the room is huge so a coffee table next to the sofa would have finished the roof off perfectly.

There is a lot of building work going on in this area of Druskininkai at present but fortunately the noise wasn't a problem. But it might be wise to check with the hotel first as the new development opposite could cause problems if the building work is stepped up.

We didn't eat in the restaurant so can't comment on dinner, but the breakfast was fantastic (meat, cheese, bread etc and wonderful pancakes) and can be delivered to your room for a bargain of 5LT (£1.25!)

Guests of the hotel receive a voucher for 1 free hour per day (plus a discount on any massages) at the Spa Druskininkai, which is a very modern spa centre with a swimming pool, jacuzzi, numerous saunas and steam room. It was always quiet when we visited and was an excellent way to unwind.

Guests also receive discounts at the brand new clinic at the hotel where we were able to have a 20minute back massage for 7LT (£1.75!!!)

Free internet is available from 2 PCs in the reception area.

All of the staff were very efficient and helpful. The receptionist on our last evening was especially pleasant and printed off our boarding passes for us and offered to sort out a takeaway breakfast for us as we were leaving early in the morning.
