A strange yet interesting place. You really feel the communist history of Riga here, in the heart of the HUGE market (a ghost town at night and packed during the day) surrounded by zeppelin hangers.
We loved the old Russian rugs and the architecture of the hostel, but everything looks worn and tired. There is NO kitchen, nor are there laundry facilities (although the site we looked at said there were!), and the only two toilets are off the lounge so there is no privacy. Staff were indifferent.
It's unfortunate, with some TLC this could be a great place.
