We found this hotel terrible. Tehe taxi-driver who took us there from Riga, told it was a "bad hotel", "very expencive anf BAD service" ...and she was so right! The staff is not friendly at all, and you really get the feeling they just want your money and thats it. We tried out the SPA treatments. The massage was ok, but with a sweaty smelling treater, and long fingernails it was a bad experince. She kept massaging the bottom for 40 out of 60mins, and she didnt even cover us up.. And when she was finished she stayed in the room, just to watch us getting dressed... She asked for telephonenumber and e-mail , so she could contact us in Norway... This is NOT a professionel SPA! -and when we complained about this, we got the manager and her friends against us... And the jaccusi was full of sand... which they said was Calsium...
As for the hotel-room, there were holes in the sheets, and no AC, and it's smelly. Smelled like its been shot down for a while..

Negativ experience with the Pegasa Pils hotel, Jurmala;

We have recently experienced how a hotel can differ alot from the internet information to the real world.

It is stated in the hotel information, that the hotel has WIFI and AC. We experienced that neider was correct. The AC was not functional and the hotel managment did notthing to fix this, only tried to stall the situation!

And frankly, it should also been spesified in the hotel information that the wifi is limited to the lobby area only!

Moreover is that the hotel did not change bed linen once during the whole stay. Not good at all!

Our overall impression is that the Pegasa Pils hotel is cynically taking advantage of guests coming and going, and that the complaints of hotel guests have noe effects since new guests keep coming regardless of the poor managment from the staff!

For me and my wife the stay on Pegasa Pils hotel was a humid, sweaty and sleepless encounter. But we try to cling to the memory of Jurmala as a very nice place, and hope that if we bother coming back that other hotels are more professional and customer friendly!

For your own sake - booking with this hotel is a waste of time and money!

Ate outside on the lovely terrace. Huge choice on all kind of dishes. Overall food quality was OK - and maybe even price/quality - but for such a standingfull hotel, we had expected better.

It's all started when paying deposit hotel requested money transfer because they don't accept credit cards. Never mind some extra costs, we arrived in sunny Jurmala!
Hotel's website proudly advertising how happy were their Russian celebrities guests here. I don't know if that would have changed anything but we are not celebrities and here is our experience of the stay in Pegasa Pils.
Room was semi-suite and at first sight not too bad, except during our 3 day stay they didn't clean it once or change the bedding!!! Towels had holes in them.Outside temperature was +30C, however Air conditioner in the room not worked and when we asked to fix it, they didn't. Fridge was in the filthy state.
Breakfast looked like previous night's leftovers. Staff unfriendly and manager S. B. simply walked out of the room when we tried to speak to her about our stay.
They also tried to charge me twice for the massage I had. By the way, that was aromatherapy with some nice smelling oils and masseur chatting on the phone while you're trying to relax!!!
Generally speaking we felt like they only wanted to get the money out of us. Not sure who gave 4 stars to this hotel, definetely would not recommend Pegasa Pils, you get better treat in the hostel. Save yourself money and time. What you see in the website is not what you get in the hotel.

“Stay away from this hotel”

We just arrived from a vacation to Latvia, and on we had booked three days to stay in this hotel on our trip to Latvia.

On the net, it looked very good, but the room we were given was very small and had wires handing off the wall. In the toilet, the shower drain was exposed and the bowl had black grit inside. We asked for another bigger room, and they were happy to "upgrade" us to another room provided we pay extra. This room is much better, but the toilet door will not shut until we kicked it really hard. Since it was late and we had paid to stay in this hotel, we stayed.

The next day coming back in the afternoon, we found that the room was not cleaned properly and toilet was not cleaned at all. Infact, the loo-roll had run out. We were getting fed up now, so we asked to cut our stay to 2 days so that we can spend the 3rd day in a better hotel. Although we gave them more than 1 day of notice, they will not give us a refund. After several meeting with the management and promises of sorting everything out, we were shown (the first time) the "rules" of the hotel, which states that you have to give 3 days written notice to cancel any booking to get refund.

We were not going to get the inconsiderate management of this hotel to ruin our vacation, so we moved anyway and found a much better hotel which was infact cheaper than this hotel. It was such a hassle and was the last thing we wanted on a great vacation. There a lot of better places to say I do not recommend anyone to book here.
