The hotel is far from the main attractions of old town. It’s better to choose another hotel if you want to appreciate the beauties of the city. Moreover personnel is not so kind and services do not respect its category. This is the hotel for you if you are a business man.

I stayed a few days in this hotel and for a business hotel I can really recommend it. It is in walking distance from the city center, people are friendly and internet connection is working very good (and is without any extra charge). The price for the rooms is ok, therefore I can recommend this hotel!

We arrived very late after a flight from Poland, to find most of the lights out in the lobby, and the A/C in the first room we were given not working. We were given another room, and the next day discovered that due to the severe energy shortage in Lithuania, we should be grateful to have lights or A/C at all. The sumptuous breakfast buffet fully restored our faith in the hotel, and we were quite satisfied after our two-night stay. Room was large, quiet and recently renovated, location was reasonably close to the Old Town, and the price made it good value.

In short; a beautiful hotel already by first impression! The Congress is located in a stunning building with old fashion ornament and balconies, just by the river Vilna and ca. 5 from Old Town. The location is really perfect, and although situated close to a large traffic point, very quiet. We arrived by car, and had some difficulties finding the parking space which is quite well hidden behind the hotel without any signs. The rooms are of different size, and while some of us got a standard room, the others got a very impression “suite” of sorts with 2 rooms and there was mini-bar, air conditioner, TV in both rooms + safe. We appreciated that the rooms have not minimalistic furniture agenda and were really cozy. Breakfast had also a high standard with impressive diversity and delicious food, everything from pancakes, pizza, vegetarian-pie and mayonnaise-eggs. Although the breakfast-staff was having a hard time smiling and quite slow to refill.
