I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights during a visit to Bratislava. It looks new, a converted mansion equipped to a high standard. Everything shiny, everything designer, almost everything working perfectly. My room was slightly small, on second floor. But it was beautiful and the price was right. What I did not know was that there is about 20 minutes (downhill) walking to the Old town center. This is fine. But coming back will probably be by taxi and taxis in Bratislava are the most expensive I have ever taken. Especially if you get one form the street or taxi stand. It would easily cost 10-15 euros to get from the old town back to the hotel. Take this into account. Also, I had the feeling that the staff were more numerous than the clients. Which may make it value for money but I wonder how long they will last like this.
