We stayed two weekend nights in high-season, July 2011. Not our first time to stay there and we return mainly because the kids adore the water park next door.
Positives:
+ entrance to water park included in the cost of the stay, kids love it
+ good staff, e.g. maid went to find different sizes of bathrobes for our children
+ nice atmosphere around kids playroom, bar area
Just ok:
= restaurant food especially dinner is good but not great. We observe this every time we stay. The evening meal feels a bit overpriced for the "normal" quality of the food especially when we are paying for the children who sometimes don't eat much.
Negatives:
- our stay this time was very expensive compared with past stays, almost 200 Eur per night. We were told we got the last room (suitable for 4) so I understand they will premium price it. But:
- The rooms, corridors need renovation. Their age is starting to show. The table on our balcony had a peeling surface. The wall tiles on the balcony had some broken parts. The walls which are mostly white have a number of scuff marks. The fold-down sofa bed was slightly damaged. Small things but together it gives a feeling the hotel is not keeping the standard that we are paying for.
- extra charge for parking.
