“Wonderful, quaint hotel”

We spent 4 nights in this lovely, quaint hotel on a side-street near the centre of Sarvar, Hungary. From here its a 5 or 6 minute walk to the centre of town and the castle-museum.

We had a comfortable room that was always kept very clean. The bed, in typical Hungarian style was actually 2 beds pulled together as one with 2 separate duvet covers on top for our use. Mattress was typically flat and more like a futon as well. However, the ambiance of the hotel and the staff's friendliness and hospitality made up for any little shortcomings. There is a little garden area off the back and a patio for coffee. There is a patio along the front for coffee, as well. Along the side, you can have a beer or even dinner outside on another patio that is more discrete and behind some bushes.

The theme of the hotel is 'hunting' and the dining room has lots and lots of deer skulls and antlers on the wall, but this again is typical of this part of Europe, where venison is usually part of the menu.

You can be sure to be safe and welcome at this hotel!
