We had to stay at the hotel 1 night because the hostel part was full. The man at the reception was very helpful. The room was nice and the breakfast good. The only thing bringing the rating down is the price that was to high.

The hotel is in the middle of a pedestrian zone, so you need to get to the barrier at Grajska Ulica, buzz the hotel (it has it's own button) and ask for the barrier to be dropped.

Wi-fi is free in the lobby, but not in the room.

Rooms were adequate - not superb, but clean and large. Breakfast was fine.

The only problem was that when people were chatting in the courtyard below, their voices would echo and carry up. I think it was the staff arriving in the morning. So try and get a room not overlooking the inner courtyard.

Firstly, for anybody visiting Maribor this hotel is in a perfect location. The hotel is your average three star hotel. The rooms (or at least the one we had) was large and had decent air conditioning. Th breakfast buffet selection was average but again perfectly fine. We had read in The Lonely Planet that included in your room rate was entrance into the Terme Fontana in Maribor but this it seems is only the case is if you pay full price for your rooms so we only got a discounted price instead of €5.50 each (please note that if you don't pay at the Hotel and go out to Terme Fontana the price is €10/€11 each). Overall, I would recommend this hotel because of primarily its location.

I spend three days in the hotel room and I really liked it. First of all the rooms are like new, with large space and bathrooms. The room was clean and light and the bed was really comfortable. The hotel is located in the middle of the city, just ten minutes walk from the train station and the river.
My room was in the first floor and I could connect to the wireless network of the hotel for free. I really consider free internet connection to be really important for me, just like hot water and clean sheets, so this was really positive!

The staff was really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was rich and included warm stuff (e.g. scrambled eggs, sausages etc.) but I would love a wider variety in sweet stuff (I only found honey, jam and hazelnut spread but e.g. no croissants, waffles etc. The room was paid by my company, but I figured out that it was rather cheap (and really worth every penny of it!), so it will be my first choice if I ever visit Maribor again.
