A friend and I spent 2 nights here during a tour of Slovenia & Croatia. We are budget travellers, so the lack of luxury (e.g. toiletries, towels, no elevator) were not problems for us.
It was somewhat annoying that, although there was an in-room safe, it was locked and no one could figure out how to open it.
The room was clean, and not overly cramped. The breakfast was good, and the beds were comfortable. There is on-site parking available. The inn is quite appealing in appearance, and the AC worked well.
It can be time consuming to locate staff (the desk is not always manned), but the location is the main drawback. THe neighbourhood is totally residential (no restaurants, markets, etc.) except for a large block of student housing, which sounded a bit rowdy on a Friday night. It is a 25-30 minute walk to the city centre; there is a bus stop two blocks away, but service is not very frequent. I will say that the Ljubljana bus service is a very clean & efficient system, but it made us hesitate about experiencing nightlife, as walking through an unfamiliar, very dark street at night was unappealing.
If you had a car, and didn't mind dealing with downtown parking (the city core is pedestrianized), this could be a good choice.
