“Nice hotel and good location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 November 2010

I stayed here for 1 night in a single room. There was plenty roomy for one person. There is no elevator so I had to carry my luggage up several flights which wasn't easy. The room was clean and the breakfast had a good assortment of food. The area of town the hotel is located was nice and a short walk to the old town. The hotel had a computer for guests to use. This is added plus for travelers who are are traveling without a laptop or phone. I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

“Lovely hotel is highly recommended”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 October 2010

I have just returned from a 2 night stay in this hotel and can highly recommend it to anyone wanting a comfortable hotel in a good central location.

It is quaint and very pretty with pleasant and helpful staff who speak good English. We had room no 5 which was a large room with a small but servicable en suite shower room. A good breakfast is served in the cellar restaurant which also offers a 15% discount to guests who choose to dine there at other times.

The main negative, which wasn't really a huge problem was the steep stairs which have to be negotiated to get to the rooms, there is just one room on each landing stage and as there is no room for a lift in the building, you have to lug your luggage up these steep stairs which could be a problem for less able people.

There is wifi in the hotel as well as a computer for the use of guests which is great, but we found that we had to take our laptop to the area where the pc was or downstairs to the lounge to use it as the wifi was not available for some reason in our room which was a bit disappointing.

If I were to return to Torun I would most definitely stay there again. Very good value for the price paid.

“Little hotel with dependance”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 July 2010

Probably the depandance is more a guest house than an hotel.
Anyway in the main building there are all services: reception, restaurant, etc.
The structure it is located in the real centre of Torun so you cannot ask better.
The staff is also very kind.

“Pleasant hotel in old town”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 February 2010

The hotel is located in the old town of Torun, in and old apartment house. The room that I had, was very big, with nice and new bathroom. There is quite big hotel lounge on ground floor, and a restaurant in cellar. They serve a tasty food there. Standard price for a room is 270 PLN but on weekends they give 20% discount.

Since the hotel is located in old town, there are many places of interest, restaurants and shops very close.

“A lovely hotel in a lovely city - not to be missed”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 November 2009

I was aware when I made the booking through staypoland that I had chosen to stay in the annex.
When we arrived at the hotel is looked lovely, very clean and freshly painted outside with lovely flowers. Entering the main reception is all very quanit and beautifully furnished. The receptionist confirmed we were in the annex and explained where it was. It was about 50m along the same road and strangely above a shop called the Emporium - which by the way smells lovely - i can tell you what it was though - there is a metal gate inside which you unlock and then go up the stairs. We said here twice during our visit to Poland. On our first night the room was huge (room 3 i think) very clean but also very cold - it need more radiators and a door which led onto a small balcony which faced into a run down courtyard! But the room was comfortable and very clean. On the 2nd stay we had room 6 which was lovely - right at the top - inside the room door was a spiral staircase which went up to the bedroom - a really lovely room.
We ate in the restaurant at the hotel twice it was so nice - i am a vegetarian and there were no veggie dishes on the menu but they cooked me something special - really lovely staff.
There isnt really a bar but you can get drinks in the restaurant and take them up to the lovely lounge area just off reception.
In terms of location its fantastic literally in the main square.
We did a walk all around Torun on the Sunday and it was lovely - plenty of bars to go to in the evening as well.
Both hotel and city are lovely - well worth a visit.
