“small and comfortable”

Parking your car is an issue unless, like me you enjoy a walk after a long day and you love a great old city full of character and fabulous old buildings, in which case parking one hundred yards from the hotel is a delight. Great welcome and good rooms. Slightly steep stair case and the room was simple and entirely adequate. Very nice basement dining area and breakfast was good. Will stay again as it was friendly and central in this great city.

“Solid hotel, great location”

Hotel is located at the strict historical city center of Torun. There is minor problem connected to parking places. There is a little chance to find parking place in front of the hotel. Tip: try to find parking place on a street behind hotel (dead ended). Hotel itself is an ellegant place. Room are spacious and cosy. Breakfasts are delicious. The only drawback is connected to the stairs. Lack of elevator is painfull.

Room Tip: Reserve room on a lower floors

“Nice hotel and good location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 November 2010

I stayed here for 1 night in a single room. There was plenty roomy for one person. There is no elevator so I had to carry my luggage up several flights which wasn't easy. The room was clean and the breakfast had a good assortment of food. The area of town the hotel is located was nice and a short walk to the old town. The hotel had a computer for guests to use. This is added plus for travelers who are are traveling without a laptop or phone. I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

“Lovely hotel is highly recommended”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 October 2010

I have just returned from a 2 night stay in this hotel and can highly recommend it to anyone wanting a comfortable hotel in a good central location.

It is quaint and very pretty with pleasant and helpful staff who speak good English. We had room no 5 which was a large room with a small but servicable en suite shower room. A good breakfast is served in the cellar restaurant which also offers a 15% discount to guests who choose to dine there at other times.

The main negative, which wasn't really a huge problem was the steep stairs which have to be negotiated to get to the rooms, there is just one room on each landing stage and as there is no room for a lift in the building, you have to lug your luggage up these steep stairs which could be a problem for less able people.

There is wifi in the hotel as well as a computer for the use of guests which is great, but we found that we had to take our laptop to the area where the pc was or downstairs to the lounge to use it as the wifi was not available for some reason in our room which was a bit disappointing.

If I were to return to Torun I would most definitely stay there again. Very good value for the price paid.

“Little hotel with dependance”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 July 2010

Probably the depandance is more a guest house than an hotel.
Anyway in the main building there are all services: reception, restaurant, etc.
The structure it is located in the real centre of Torun so you cannot ask better.
The staff is also very kind.
